Tan/Gold Bluing Pan sp?

so im in the jungle a bit more now. more rain. more consistent temps...
theres a couple pastures nearby.
yesterday we went exploring them.
most of the fields were horse pasture, but EVERY pile of horse manure had pans galore

mostly antillirum i think.

a lot of FAT white pans. biggest caps around 2-2.5"


found a siamese twin in the wild, that was cool

sorry we didnt take the camera. wish we had. there was a LOT worth photograhping, but the rain might have killed my camera. there were some sweet rainbows...one was a tripple. we saw both ends of one, no more than 100yards from end to end...

mostly everything "new" looking i saw i squeezed and watched a bit for bluing.

nothing bruised except ONE

a strange one. goldish tanish with a very copey scent...blued almost instantly after picking.

ill get pics up soon.

i took a print, and made two tissue clones on agar...:shrug: lets hope!!!

Looks like a perfect specimen in my opinion. I bet that left a nice beautiful print, as long as you didn't mess up the gills any. The gills look perfect in the pics.

well...funny you should mention that:lol:

just kidding.

but i did have to do some ghetto surgery

i didnt have agars ready at the time, so i cut the stipe out of the cap...like from the top of the cap, around where the stipe meets it, leaving about a 1/16" of flesh from the gills around the stipe.

that way i freed the cap for printing, and saved the inside of the (where cap and stipe meet) stem for cloning.


any ideas on ID?

I've seen pictures posted of Copes that had that same yellow cap. I got a print from someone in Texas who found a few golden copes. Haven't got around to messing with the print yet though.

Could be Cope cambo, were these found in HI?

2) Copelandia sp. (check spore size and cystidia when you are near a microscope)
