Definitely Amon Tobin or Tristezza if you want calm and spacey music.

Has anyone listed to the "Crack the Skye" concept album by Mastodon while trippin? The lyrics are about a guy who is astral planing and burns his connection to his body. He ends up with Rasputin who dies and guides him back to his body. Has tons of musical layers. It might be a bit too intense.

I know it's not technically a "trippy" song, but I found out that "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones is ABSOLUTELY INSANE to listen to on LSD... That riff is just incredible!!!

If you're looking for "mindblowing", you HAVE TO try this one...

Try out The Books. Overflowing with genius. They sample lots of older stuff. "Aleatoric" music. Everything but the newest (lost and safe) is jam packed with goodness. They sing a bit more on the newer and it is sometimes not as conducive to laying down with a huge grin and eyes closed.
