Not all police are bad people
    #11025700 -

Hi all,

I have been caught with shoplifting and doing minor fraud offences, all in all I am being charged on summons to court later this month.

This incident happened at the start of the year, over 6 months ago, I been good since but I recently got busted by undercover police at a supermarket stealing food. Stupid I know... and I thought I am going to go to jail right there and then.

I was cooperating with two undercover police officers and when they asked me if I was in trouble with police before, I stated that I have a pending court date for shoplifting charge... I didnt mention fraud.

They said that if I cooperated and told them if I have any other stuff that I stole then hand it over... I said no comment but then handed over everything. They said they will keep the whole thing civilised, didnt put any hand cuffs on me and treated me with great respect.

They said I am under arrest and then asked me if I wanted to pay for my goods that I stole. I agreed to pay. I was really going out of my mind because I was thinking my life is over for sure now.

The police took me to this remote cop shop, which was an empty open floor... they decided to give me a ....FINE. I was so relived with this, because they could have easily taken me to court and Id get the double knockout... but now all I need to do is pay the 200 dollar fine and that is the end of it, then go to my original court and resolve it there. The court should not even find out about this fine as its off the record.

Before this I thought all cops were scum, however, some are really decent people who know that every person who is doing the wrong thing by law is also a human being.

Just wanted to say thanks to those two police officers for making me realise what a fuck up I have become, that is the end of my shop lifting days. NEVER AGAIN!

if this fine was 'off the record' doesn't that render it a....a bribe? and if it went on the record then the court would have access to its documentation, right?

is it better for cops to take bribes 'off the record' or put people through the courts/whatever legal process it requires/paperwork?

i was considering becoming a cop before just to be a beacon of light amongst police, just to be that 'good cop' who sees people for who and their situations for what they are. i would totally join 'cops for legalization' and wouldnt put anyone through the system for entheogen/empathogen related charges, i'd regard the law with moral insight and wouldn't just do things because "that's the way the law goes", i'd come down hard on scum like rapists, violent gangs etc but for the average joe bloggs who enjoys a toke, let them be. oh yeh and fuck ice.

but no, i don't think i will become a cop, it just doesn't seem morally right for me to uphold these worldly laws decided, imposed and upheld by omnipotent politicians playing political football with our freedom.

But yeh, i reckon the "fuck cops" attitude is flawed, there are some decent ones out there.

I got popped by a disgustingly fat black piggy...he got real pissed when I tried to invoke the fourth amendment, had .2 of weed on me, fucking clapped the cuffs on and threw me in a cell overnight, cause he had "other shit to do" before filling out the half page of paperwork I needed to be released.

Fuck the police.

No in Australia, if u get a fine from police, once you pay the fine thats the end of the matter.

If you dont then it goes to courts... so paying a fine does no go on ur criminal record.

Doesnt matter - they are still the enemy.  Ill go ahead and commit reductio ad nazium and say, were all nazi bad people?  Of course not - but they were still the enemy and treated as such.

wait.. you knew you would be in jail right away. you would fuck everything up.
So the best thing you thought of doing was to goto a supermarket and steal some fucking food worth next to nothing?

What about spending your time in a more productive manner so you don't have to embarress yourself everyday for being you.

That is the dumbest story I've ever heard. Don't you know that the police will pretend to be your friend to get the confession out of you and create a smaller hassle for themselves?

They don't care about your welfare. Some may be decent people underneath, but they are never your friends. And that fine trickles back to them. It's like you gave up your wallet and defense without a fight.

It is true, as much as I do hate police not all of them are total pricks. I wrecked a car a while back, dui... I thought it was over for sure. So this cop arrests me and all that, then says he smells weed and asks about that. I lie again of course, so after he shines the light in my eyes he decides to take me to jail without searching anything. Which was great, as I really didn't want to go to jail with a pipe in my pocket.  I certainly wouldn't expect him to just let me go, so that was probably about as cool as he could have been and it did save me a lot of trouble. But yeah, other than that... Fuck the police.

QFFT

To be a cop, you must be fucked up in the head. Most cops derive sexual pleasure from exhibiting power and sway over their fellow man. Hannibal Lecter would've made a good cop, so would have Hitler and Stalin and Suharto and Mussolini etc etc etc

Anyone bashing the cops need to take a reality check, they protect your sorry asses every day, when you get shot at who do you call? when you get kidnapped, who do you call? when you have some crack heads breaking into your house, who do you call? when some crazed fools are going on killing rampages who do you call?

I'm sure alot of those guys wouldn't mind smoking a joint or at the very least sitting back chilling out with their family and friends having a beer instead of having to put on bullet proof vests and hope that it's not the day some loon they pull over for murder somewhere does not shoot him in the throat right before they shoot him in the eye so then his family gets to deal with a closed casket visitation.

Or better yet the guy's that have to look at crime scene investigation photo's for month's trying to catch some fool that shot a mom and her two year old to death....

If all of us were perfect we wouldn't need the police.

Pff i don't think any other gang destroyed so many lives as the police has. And i call police a gang. Corrupt suns of bitches with a hunger to exibit authority and force for their own selfiosh pleasure. Police are not there to protect the people.
