is it a portal to another plane of existence? is a manifestation of our own mind? do u think this were we go when die?

my own thoughts are i can not for one second believe these are manifestations of my mind but this is definately a doorway to somewhere...what that place is i dunno

what do u think?

That's a tricky question if you ask me... a portal to another plane of existence is probably the best option you gave me. DMT takes you to a place where all things exist. I visualize this world as a barren moon of fractal energy. Think of the closed eye visuals forming mountains and canyons... it's beautiful. But that's my own interpretation... from this embodiment of DMT, this "astral plane", you can travel into your own mind, other dimensions and maybe, if you believe in that sort of thing, through time.

Is all of this real or a product of your human mind on drugs? I think both... the majority of the things people experience on DMT are probably just creations of the drug and your mind... but, if you ask me, there are true spiritual experiences to be had on DMT. It takes a certain kind of person to really have those though. You could go through your whole life getting "twisted" on DMT and never experience one divine moment. You have to want it. But the "reality" of it isn't really relevant.. it doesn't matter if you actually saw another world or not. Your mind believes it did and will react the same as it would if it actually saw it. Take the psychedelic experience seriously... you can argue religion all day but the psychological effects remain.

Personally i don't think its a manifestation of ones own mind. While drinking Ayahuasca i let the first time go normal. Then the following 3 times i tried to manipulate my set and setting, even my thoughts during the trip, to try and find the answer to this question. And each time i couldn't change a thing. the first experiment i tried controlling the images with thought, and when i did i literally felt the beings that were interacting with me get kind of pissed and they turned away from me. The second i tried listening to death metal/folk/and pink floyd and each one made the visions vibrate. and the last i did it inside my house to see that effect. just less colorful for lack of lighting. Also each vision there were things familiar but IMO i believe that's the way it tries to teach you. like making a hard math problem into a simple word problem ya know?

as person that is very sensitive to psychoactive tryptamines and has broken through on DMT, i can say that it does take you to another place. just because we cannot understand something doesn't make it into something less than it is. you meet the alien.

I think some people here are digging their ways deep into the rabbit hole. There's a point of no return. Be careful.

There is no answer to be found. There's no point in loosing your mind.

Explore it if you want to use it to create. Observe it if you want to have fun. Don't try to find explanations, there are no explanations to be found. You'll only loose yourself.

What is this reality made but vibrating energy called "strings" and "superstrings".
If so then that energy could be "thought" created. Which mean everything you see is "thought" created and holographic including your brain. Your soul though is not your brain. Your brain holds your concious and subconcious and your soul is your superconcious. Your superconcious knows all your past lives and future ones as well.

But.... time is relative.  It is a part of the space/time fabric of this reality.
The faster you travel through it the slower time passes. Step outside this reality and you are free from the time/space fabric and then time travel IS possible.
Actually it wouldn't be because you would no longer be traveling through it.....  like you are NOW.

Seriously there's no way to be 100% about anything but its definitely a manifestation of the mind. I was hearing a story about a guy that did DMT. He said it was all very Christian. Seeing crosses, thought he went to heaven, that kind of thing. Guess what guys he had a strong Christian upbringing and all the stuff from when he was a child and going to church resurfaced from his subconscious and set the stage for his trip.

the way to test it is by seeing the same things. you hear stories of amazon shamans working together percieving the same vision. getting the same answers. inside the mind. but the mind is outside. they are 1. put both together, and that is the beginning of the truth of reality. our minds can only concieve one or the other. black or white. on or off. but reality beyond our perception may not work on that way. i feel also that it takes real life training to get something spiritual from these experiences. these sentient energies arent going to hand anyone mysteries. it has to be worked for.

what i would/and do is digest it and assimilate it into my life in the way it feels most clear. i know that once i started taking it a little more seriously and getting more clear with my intent i had to find teachers to help me work the energetics of it. there are true shaman in all walks of life. learning to work with intent takes a life time. and its not all about the plants. too much plants makes people forget the intent.

Read DMT: the Spirit Molecule.

that book will teach you a grip about psychedelics,
and give you first hand accounts of people intravenously injected with the psychedelic tryptamine DMT.  doses were to get the user as "far out" on the drug as they could go while still remembering the trip, for research purposes.
many reported contact with humanoid or alien beings.
one reported a feeling of going into and never coming out of a white light.
most users were forced from their bodies hence the level 5 trip.

anyone who has read that book would probably reccommend it for anyone interested in the psychology of psychedelics, or anyone with an account on this page  :tongue2:

it is my belief that the things you see while on dmt, or any other psychedelic for that matter,  are most definitely manifestations of the mind. how could it be anything else?

Physics. Look up entanglement, etc. it is pretty interesting how this can be applied to the psychedelic experience. Jeremy Narby's hypothesis that ayahuasca and DMT allow us access to information encoded in DNA is pretty interesting, especially given the fact that DNA actually emits photons. It may all be a crock of shit, but so may a lot of things. Do I get religious experiences and formulate conclusions and beliefs from tripping? Better believe it. Are these less valid than the experiences and beliefs of others? Nope, they are all equally valid.

I think an important thing to think about is the necessity of truth. Do we need truth everywhere? Sometimes that masks our appreciation of nature and reality, especially with religious beliefs. Isn't it enough that my experiences and beliefs make me a happier person, a more at-ease person, one who is infinitely more connected with nature and the world than he ever was? I think so. Maybe whatever I commune with in my head is a god, a ghost, a molecule, myself...I guess what I'm saying is it doesn't matter as much what it is or where the knowledge/ecstasy comes from, but that it does come to you and it makes you more content with yourself, your world, and makes you a better person, by your own definitions.

Sounds kind of weird coming from a neurobiology student, but eh.
