When people start saying that they don't recognize the government as legitimate and start calling for a revolution, and then start carrying guns and bringing them to political rallies, they've crossed the line.  Look up the beliefs of these militia groups.

First of all get your shit straight. The sign read "It is time to water the tree of liberty" according to the Associated Press (link). Secondly, everyone is aware of the context of that quote. Time to water the tree of liberty... with what? THE BLOOD OF TYRANTS obviously! What the hell else could he have been referring to? Miracle Gro?

You're trying to obfuscate the point by dwelling on semantics. Point is the guy made a reference to a Thomas Jefferson quote about the necessity for violent revolution as a veiled threat to the president. Everyone else seems to have gotten the message...

That said, absolutely no argument here, the guy has every constitutional right to bear arms in public. However, it's an incredibly nasty and douchy message to be throwing around haphazardly. That's what seems to be lost in this thread. Just because something is constitutionally guaranteed doesn't mean we don't have the right to call them out for being a completely tasteless douche.
