Yes #1 you're a fucking hater! Stop hating! If the smokers are not in your residence, or car, then you really need to get over it, or make new friends that don't smoke tobacco.

Cigarette smoke is more obnoxious. I used to smoke so I can't really say much about smokers without being a hypocrite, but I hate them anyway. Just fucking quit because I did.

I can tell how much I'm going to like a person by how they react to second hand smoke.  Cool people hardly acknowledge its' existence.  Here's the thing, if you don't have allergies and you let yourself get butthurt by second-hand smoke, you are making a DECISION to get butthurt about it.  One aspect of masculinity is being generally unaffected by minor discomforts in your surrounding.  Non-smoker BTW.  No, cigarette smoke doesn't smell good, but neither does your moms pussy and I'm still hittin' it.

We got a nice civil crowd in here.

How would you like it, for example, if I took a piss on you? Kinda the same concept as cigarette smoke, except piss is much healther.

except for the fact that it's not common for people to walk around pissing on eachother

bitching about someone smoking would be like whining about every person you come across wearing cologne, or perfume - not everyone does it, but enough people do that you're bound to run into plenty of people like that in your lifetime (especially in places where shit like that is common place)

you can't go around to social settings bitching about people's bad taste in aromas anymore then you can their tobacco use / drinking habits / whatever  :shake:

That is unfortunate that you think more government regulation is a good thing in this case. I am all for allowing business owners to decide for themselves whether or not they will allow tobacco smoke on their premises.

While I agree with your post, you missed the point. Public venues are NOT businesses, private venues are. Example: A park near my house, public venue. The casino near my house, private venue. (Note you can smoke at either here. Just making a point)

Also if you choose to be near me and smoke, and I move to get out of the way and you continue to smoke I will ask you nicely, then proceed to hurt you physically if it continues. I, much like my country, believe that violence is the solution to all problems that peace and reason don't solve.

Just because it's not common doesn't make the point invalid. I consider cigarette smoke to be THAT disrespectful, considering that is HARMS my health, and people know it does, and people continue to smoke anyways. That's why I usually just end up leaving. Fucking disrespectful. It's a filthy thing to subject people around you to undergo, just like PISSING ON THEM would be. Except piss isn't known to cause cancer, and second hand cigarette smoke actually does.

I don't bitch about cologne, but I would if it was a carcinogen.

Cigarette smoke sucks.  it causes every horrible disease known to man.  I have a friend who always smokes when he's driving with me and it pisses me off- i hate breathing that shit,  that's my problem with some smokers attitudes- they usually don't give a fuck about people their with.    cigarettes sucks.  but everyone has the right to free choice

ganja smoke on the other hand- always happy to get that second hand or first :potleaf:

i really think cigarettes are an absurd habit- they're poison

pah-lease...with that kind of mindset - I could justify walking around ninjitsu-fying every retard I surpass, just because their stupidity is somehow detrimental to my mental health

because no matter how much you try an butter this one up - the core of your argument is superficial at best

all you're doing is blowing up something infinitesimally piddly to absolutely ungodly proportions at this point

The core of my argument is:

Cigarette smoke is harmful to my health, so please don't smoke around me.

And my question is:

Is it polite to ask somebody to stop smoking, or do I just need to leave every time somebody decides to subject me to their poison death tumor cloud?

Now, what is superficial about that?

I am not calling out for violence, but respect. Many smokers I know just don't GIVE A FUCK about the health of those around them.

Just because you can parallel mental stupidity to harmful cigarette smoke doesn't make my argument less valid. It is the same problem... It all comes down to what you want to subject yourself to I suppose. I subject myself to smokers because I have to work around them, and it pisses me off that they don't give a fuck about making me breath their filthy black toxic waste.

and the point *I'm* making is that the amount of toxins you, yourself, would be taking in second-handly is absolutely minimal...and that your being anal retentive about it is akin to griping about the exhaust from the cars that are passing you by as you're strolling along the side of the road

you can't magically expect people to drive different routes so as to never be on the same street as you, anymore then you can expect people with bad habits to cater to your every whim simply because you got a stick up your ass the size of Texas

I hate to break it to ya pal - but 100% of this world, nay, the very concept of life in general, revolves around biting your own damn tongue at times, and learning to work with you environment...do you really think that any of the species on this planet would get where they're at now if they expected every other creature on the planet to bow down to them in every single instant of every single day

life is about submission asshole, and if you're gonna have a heart attack every time someone else is breathing the same air as you - then might I suggest you stay in your mother's basement, and don't even bother coming out to spend time with the rest of us...because when you get right down to it - nobody wants to deal with some immature ass that's gonna throw a fucken temper tantrum every time someone else does something around em that they don't fucken agree with

and you might wanna get your facts straight about just how damaging secondhand smoke actually is before you start going on some ridiculous holy crusade against it  :shake:
