Being polite about
    #10778660 -

asking people to stop smoking around you. How do you do it? Or do I just need to leave every time somebody lights up around me?

I HATE cigarette smoke. Does that make me a hater?

My guess is that you strongly believe in at least one of the following organizations:

1) Jesus Christ
2) The Military of the USA
3) NFL
4) Meth.

Yes #1 you're a fucking hater! Stop hating! If the smokers are not in your residence, or car, then you really need to get over it, or make new friends that don't smoke tobacco.

None of the above. I do however believe that you should be forced to use scuba tanks for all your day to day breathing needs. That'll stop you stealing lung fulls of my expensive tobacco smoke you nasty jewish leach.

yes yes yes I hate... I don't care if smokers smoke. But when they are around me I find it very disrespectful.

Secondary cig. smoke fucks me up. It gives me a hangover.

My friends aren't the problem either, it's the people I work with.

Is its in a public place then move, you have no right to ask them not to smoke as its perfectly legal.

Anywhere else its up to that places management to enforce it.

In your own peoperty tell there is no need to be polite, just say no smoking allowed around you.

I guess what fucks me up is that people know that cig. smoke it unhealthy, but they continue to smoke when they know that I don't like it, so I usually end up leaving anyways.

Just joking, I'm sure you realise.  You have every right to expect clean air and as a smoker myself I'll be the first to say that it's a stinking filthy habit that should not impinge on the rights of others to clean air.

I know someone who got a prescription for some pills to help him quit smoking.

He'd been smoking for at least 10/15 years, probably a lot longer.

He could still smoke like a chimney while taking the things,it's just he got withdrawals while he smoked.

That's the genius of it. He smoked more to stave away the symptoms but they wouldn't go.

Once the pills ran out after 2/3 weeks he had essentially gone through all the withdrawals and had no cravings for one more whatsoever.

He goes out in smoking rooms in bars and everything. Fucked up pills.

Just do what I do and pretend to have a coughing fit, get progressively louder until they cannot hear themselves think, and then they leave.

Sometimes it is easier to walk away though lol.

so annoying. i don't even smoke :crankey:

just don't stand downwind of the smokers, works for me. if they keep moving around, just give them a knowing nod and say something if they're being daft.

Jesus Christ and Meth. aren't really organizations. The other two are and yes I believe that they actually do exist.
