Hand soap in substrate cake? What effect on growth-

What effect would mixing hand soap in with the typical PF Tek 1:2:1 brown rice:vermiculite:water substrate have on the growth of mycelium? I am not thinking of doing this, for a project, would it totally inhibit mushroom growth? Would it prevent the growth of other fungus' (mold)?

also the same deal, except with human urine?

Human urine has ammonia in it and would fuck everything up.

Ammonia is basic, and so is soap so i would assume the answer would be the same.

It really depends on what kind of soap you use.

Heres a general discription of whats in soap

ngredients

Oils and fats for soap are compounds of glycerin and a fatty acid. When oils are mixed with an alkali, they form glycerin and the sodium salt of the fatty acid. The fatty acids required for soap making are supplied by tallow, grease, fish oils, and vegetable oils. The hardness, lathering qualities, and transparency of soap vary according to the combinations of fats and alkalis used as ingredients. An experienced soap crafter uses many combinations of oils.

Im not sure if youd really want to use it in cakes especially if its going to shift the ph of your substrate, though id think youd have to use quite a bit of it to do that.

I add week coffee to my susbtratre - it colinises faster
