mystical experiences, synchronicity & entheogens

Howdy all, just wanted to see if anyone wanted to discuss the role of various drugs in bringing about mystical experiences, synchronicities, and/or consciousness transformation.

I have had several consciousness-expanding trips on shrooms, but it was an acid trip in California that really knocked me for a loop, and led me into a "swirl of synchronicity" that is still going on three years later.

I've started a blog about it all (linked in my profile) but wanted to talk about it with some psychonauts and not just the people who are primarily into the synchronicity angle alone.

Anyone else experience crazy effects on their day to day life/awareness triggered by tripping? Or noticed that strange coincidences and being stoned seem to go together like peanut butter & chocolate?

i think, after people gain some experience in the psychedelic ocean the high they get from weed can feel different in many ways. probably not all people that feel this way, but a large percent.

People ask me what it is like to have done LSD or mushrooms when it comes up in conversation and I admit I have done them.I can only say that for me,it is as if I understand the way everything in the universe works,kind of an "oh,that's what it is all about,I understand",and then when it wears off the knowledge is suppressed back into the recesses of my mind until I take a journey again.

I do believe that I notice things that some people do not,like the people that have never imbibed mind expanding plants/chemicals.I consider it a synchronizing feeling when you meet someone else who has been there.They can relate to what you have felt and seen even though you do not know them.I also believe some people should never trip,or never have tripped.

drug use has a long history of use in the occult; indeed, conducting a ritual while tripping is, well, lets say vrooooooooom.

are you familiar with robert anton wilson? his book cosmic trigger is a must read if you are interested in this subject.

Yes, it seems as if life is one big synchronicity trip and the extent to which we notice it is the extent to which we are waking up. Definitely psychedelics can be a catalyst for it.
