awesome.. thats good to hear man.. those shrooms are looking beautiful, they resemble some TKSS I grew last year.

I gave up on those dang digi hydrometers, they always seemed like they would F up on me after being exposed to prolonged high humidity or something.. Went through three of those bastards before I switched to an awesome analog one now that simply measures both wet and dry temps and use a conversion chart to calculate the humidity.. got if off the net somewhere for like 10 bucks!! If interested Ill look up where I got it when I get back to the crib :smile:

BTW, What sub did you use?

our cakes are just about done, though yeild was terrible,just over 10 grams per flush but i dont look after them and there in a poor fruiting chamber.

the oak ridge final showed the contam beating properties in 1 jar and that jar pinned really well, they would go from pin to mature fruits in 3 days even at bellow 70F. And the first fruits my mate sampled were very potent/

We did an experiment with the oak ridge to see how contam resistant they were. Had cakes that never done anything from a shroomotopia vendor i was trying. We suspected bacteria in our jars and inoced a few with the last of our oak ridge spores and also an LC we had.

Mycelium appeared, but then  a few days after that the jars went nasty and almost all not only had bacteria but also green mould. So while its pretty strong against contamination it seems that it can only win when theres mostly mushroom myc compared to contam, like what happened in our jar, the contamin didnt appear until 90% colinisaiton.

Jeetered knows his stuff, and i believe he did find this strain. You cant get it anywhere else, theres only 1 vendor that i know know sells this strain and its only just recently. The ginetics havnt become very diverse yet. The spores i got which were final, looked like first gen but had traits of final. Im going to be sending jeetered some spores for him to isolate it again.

Im going to be doing mini dub tubs which should hopefully do much better with my mates lazy methods.

1 of our cakes contamed complelty in green mould, due to lack of fresh air and not getting enough fanning after misting, so i think the cakes were getting pretty wet.

I always thought C.C. was only for casing layers and such...

HMMMMMMMM,  I use them interchangeably depending on the substrate.  I like the "Graininess" of the C.C.  It seems to "feel" better and make the substrate a bit more "Homogeneous".  I use the Gypsum on my casing layer at times.  It's sooooo damn powdery.  I grind pelletized gypsum in my Magic Bullet and it comes out like a powder.  I always thought they served the same purpouse..... stabalize the PH levels.  I only use it when I add coffee to the mix.  If I don't use coffee in the substrate then I don't use the C. C.

The first flush after being cleaned and manicured.  I already have 5 full trays in the dehydrator aside from these I just took a pic of.  I was thinking of making a contest in the Marketplace.  I'll place them in a more wide spread area and take a picture.  The person who guesses correctly how many fruitbodies there are wins.  What do you think?

Thank you!  This is the "last grow of 09"  I am going to take a "Break" from cultivation.  You'll still see me in the forums though.  Just because I'm not cultivating, doesn't mean I won't be mingling with the family.;)
