I had a hell of a time finding canning jars. walmart: "wrong time of the year". grocery store: "what's canning jars". The ones i did find were wrong size or shape. Big Lots had 1/2pt wide mouth and qt narrow mouth for chronic, but i had to buy the 1/2 pt shorties online.

dude seriously what the fuck i would not recomend subsituting anything at all your first time growing, get brown rice flower. read the pf tek and follow it step for step. how do you have as many posts as you do and know as little as you do? i knew more than you before i even thought about growing. dude good luck spend a few hour reading every night like the rest of us had to or just find another hobby

I do agree that this experiment is doomed,but at the same time I know exactly what he is talking about as far as finding supplies.I did find jars at wall mart (After going to like 4 walmarts who didn't have them 1st)I never did to this day find brown rice flour and just gave up on looking and bought a coffee grinder.So OK those problems were solved.I am not exaggerating at all when I say that I went to at least a DOZEN garden centers asking for verm.NO one has it and more than half the people who work there have never even heard of it.As far as it seems to me it is like it just doesn't even exist in my area.I finally just ordered it online,But I hate running up my credit card so I always try looking in person 1st.

if you cant/dont want to PC the jars, u can get some pretty cheap jars online
i got two for like 6$ and they are colonizing very fast
