Innoculating MEA with syring?

I may have missed this somewhere along the line but can you just innoculate MEA plates with a regular old spore syring? These are not H2O2 MEA just regular old MEA as I know it won't work with H2O2.

I would suggest shaking the syringe really well first, then putting one drop in 4 spots (each) equidistant from the center.
