I knew someone was gonna say it, I was about to. As a computer nerd/repair dude, I actually do recommend MacBook. OS X is a nice OS and their computers hold up very well. Only thing is they are retardedly overpriced.

would a mac book work well together with my iphone?

could i run windows programs on it?

what will the differences be?

1. Yes, of course. They're made by the same company, they'd be stupid not to make them compatible.

2. Yes, there are some good windows emulators out there or you could do a dual boot system (I think).

3. Uhh.. What kind of differences are you thinking of? OS X is a different OS, you'll have to learn it. But it's very intuitive and not that hard to learn. Plus there's a shitload of info on the intarwebs about macs. Macrumors.com is a good site.

They're all way over priced, but that looks like a pretty decent computer for you.  I know some of the new macs can dually run windows but I don't know much about it.  As far as moving your files from your computer to other computers, why don't you get a cheap flash drive?

I've never had any errors with a mac, their OS is very stable, and there aren't any mac viruses either.

I love my sony vaio, no problems, $600 bucks 2gigs ram 2.0 pentium dual core

Macbooks actually fully support windows now, its a thing called bootcamp, works great, even better than most pc.  Macbooks are very solidly built laptops, but also way overpriced for their hardware...take that as it is.  I have a macbook pro, as I already ran all other OS in my home, figured i'd give it a go, and its rock solid build, very sturdy, feels better than any other laptop i've held.

For non-macs, i would get an asus...

Macs are more expensive cos theyre worth it. You get what you pay for; they never crash, the software/hardware is flawlessly integrated, OS X is way out in front, etc etc blah blah blah

Don't get a dell, I'm on one now and it sucks, although it was pretty cheap...I'd definitely go with a macbook. 

I used to use dell all the time until I got a macbook for college and it is fucking awesome.  Very simple to use and figure out.  I hated it for the first 2 days but after that I got I figured things out fairly quickly.

It is sturdy but a warranty was still handy as I've sent it in for problems a couple times.  Luckily, mac repairs all problems (if they can't help you solve them over the phone, which works fairly often unless the problem is mechanical), even if you damaged it yourself or it fell, just play stupid and you are set haha

there are lots of mac viruses. it's just that the majority of the big ones are engineered for windows operating systems, so mac users don't have to worry about them. as mac becomes more popular, more mac viruses are being spread as well.
