I bought a Dell laptop, it was a disaster. I will avoid Dell for the rest of my life.

I bought a thinkpad instead, it's great.

Wow, this thread is the tits.
Anyway, I bought a Apple iBook G4 about two years ago, and have been pleased with my purchase for sure. In that two years, it has frozen up maybe half a dozen times, and I have never lost any data. I sometimes wish I had more processing (mines like 933 MHZ) and memory (384 here) but I don't play games or produce video, I just surf and listen to music and burn discs and collect porn . Really a great machine, it never has problems and is a sleek stylish workhorse.

Get a thinkpad, but wait for the core duo thinkpads to come out unless they have already came out.
