No, he's right.  In Cali anyway, the vast majority of the people who have cards don't actually need them.  Coaster is a prime example... fucking TMJ?  I have TMJ and I don't get anything for it out here, they gave me a fucking night guard to put in between my teeth.

I'd be curious if you could find one study that conclusively shows the benefits of medical MJ in the form of a placebo controlled, double blind trial.

I'm pretty sure there have been several studies that have done this.

For example, the glaucoma studies, that showed that smoked marijuana significantly reduces intra-ocular pressure.  Or the recent studies of marijuana extract applied to MRSA bacteria.  Or the government studies that showed reduction in size of brain tumors after repeated treatments with marijuana extract.

This is true.  Although the studies I found didn't use smoked MJ, had a small sample size and didn't compare to another standard.

Okay, you got me there.  The studies on MRSA were done in petri dishes and the tumor studies were in rats.

But it did show that its more effective than placebos in petri dishes and rats.  I don't think you included humans in your above requirements.
