Dissolve 2 tablespoons, baking soda in a quart of water, spray with that.

A common mistake is to mis-identify a weak strain of the mycelium as being gray mold. Untill things are totaly mature it's normall to see a few patches of very light (almost transparent) white patches of mycleum compeating for "turf" (and loseing the battle)

Cobweb mold is almost always related to inoculated media sitting in a dark enviroment for more than 48 hours (aprox.). This mold (invader) is very fast and fatal (it will feed off of anything in it's path and sufocate almost any other fungus that it grows over). The good news is that it's very eaisly advoided. Just be sure that you have some light on the subject at least once or twice every 24 hours. Many recomend a few hours under a low wattage fish tank bulb.

can i use this fix if there are almost mature fruits in the casing?! i need to know, i think i might have some cobweb around the bases of my shrooms...

Methinks you have mycelia around the bases of your shrooms. Cobweb sort of spreads over a casing like a fog.

Today I found, what looks like, my first confirmed cobweb mould contamination. Its grown around one side of an inoculated jar thats been sitting in the dark. I've sprayed it with H2O2, seperated it from the others and put it where it can get more light. Many posts describe cobweb contam as being usually associated with casings but nevertheless, i've got it in a jar. Its obviously mould not mycelium 'cause it grew within a few hours!!!

Will more light and the H2O2 treatment give me a chance of salvaging this jar?
