It makes me concerned that there are too many people that cant use psychedelics regularly without having delusions. Or that too many of the people who use psychedelics have something wrong with them to begin with.

Why does that concern you? Do you fear that you're one of them?

The drugs are already illegal. That won't change anytime soon. It's not like the nutters are smearing the good name of psychedelics. :shrug:

Conspiracy questioners are GOOD.  If the people didn't question things, especially government motives then you can be assured that dictatorship and destruction of all civil rights would rapidly occur.

If theres one thing history as told us over and over again - its that people shouldn't question everything.

Most of this conspiracy stuff is blown out of proportion.  The dualist mindset labels it as "nutters" vs "debunker's".  The sensible person follows a middle path.  They are not delusional, their minds are not made up but they are willing to ask questions without blindly submitting to any one side of the dualistic belief pattern.

Of course you should question everything, if your interested in getting closer to the truth.  Whats is funny about that?


Dualistic mindset - meaning believers vs non-believers.  There are other options!  Many people are happy to ADMIT that they don't know the answers but whats important is that we all ask the questions...

Not that we sit their smug saying "I know it was terrorists" or "I know it was bush" because none of us know.

If however we stop asking questions then we pave the way for conspiracy.  If we do not care or question then people will walk all over that.  Its quite clear.

OK, I see how you're using the world 'dualism' now. Usually it's referring to the mind-body debate (monism vs dualism).

Be sure to define the words you choose if they're as ambiguous as 'dualism' or 'spirit.' Otherwise, discussions can become very confusing.

Yeah, you're right: I shouldn't be using the word 'conspiracy' at all. It's got too many negative connotations to it.

Once you're lumped into that mold, it's difficult to be taken seriously.

Paranoia, if you were living in 1940's Belgium or Holland, would be very, very valid. It's a survival mechanism. Trust no one. It leads to false positives, like people believing that no planes hit the towers and some grand holographic projector made those planes, or shooting people that weren't the enemy, but it's a survival mechanism that gets encouraged the more people get pursued.

If I was a naive american living in Canada, especially one who had kids, I'd be very paranoid.

OP: What's really worrying you about conspiracy theories? Wouldn't it be nicer if everyone believed what you did, and no one questioned anything?

So damn true. Some conspiracy theories can sound a bit far fetched yes? But a lot of people are coming to the conclusion that reality is a lot stranger than fiction. So why would you completely denounce something? Is it because of your current belief system and if believing these things you would have to basically question every single little thing you've been told was true. It can seem a bit too much for some people to take in sometimes. Not everyone can analyze, understand, process, and connect the dots as easy as some people. So instead of calling other people freaks, you should take a good hard look at yourself and ask yourself 'do i not understand what this person means? So i must have to regard him as a fool to save my ego from being hurt. I'll just block it out and continue to live on my self-destructive, material void filling, incomplete life wondering why i'll never find inner balance.'

If you choose to be so. You are only limiting yourself.
