advice needed

Ok, my sister-in-law is married to a fellow  I went to high school with (i will refer to him as B-Dog because he fancies himself a "gansta"... he would be so proud). He is of below average intelligence, inclined toward violence, thievery, and possesses a generally antisocial disposition. He has been arrested several times for beating her up, writing bad checks on her account, various drug charges, lapsed child support payments, etc.... The kinda guy only a mother (and a stupid girl from a dysfunctional/abusive background) could love.

He and I have never been in a physical altercation, however, after i urged her to leave him following one particularly brutal episode he made threats directed at me and my family and i was nearly forced to beat him to death with an axe handle... luckily it didn't come to that and we didn't pressed charges for the threats. This all happened around four years ago, since then he has spent several months in prison and i suspect he has been put on psychiatric meds for a couple reason (one of which is sudden weight gain, which i take pleasure in... few things are more satisfying than watching someone you hate turn into a fat disgusting blob wearing a backward ball cap and nylon pants).  My sister knows that i hate this fellow as i've made myself very clear... we simply don't talk about it.

So my sister-in-law and I have been close for years, we are drinking buddies, smoking buddies, and confidants... just very close friends. She knows what i'm into and i have never felt that i should distrust her in anyway because she was cool like that you know. So last summer, when i had annual special garden it made perfect sense that i would share the progress with her and ask for her feedback on the operation, she knows i don't want anyone to know about this, much less B-Dog. When this operation was being carried out he was in jail and she said their relationship was over.

Fast forward several months, he is out of jail and she is manipulated into taking him back because he is a changed man. The secret garden has been put to bed with special, albeit modest, rewards. I promised sis a special christmas present but forgot to take it to one of our family gatherings. I tell her she can drop by to pick it up... so she drops by when i'm headed out the door, we smile and greet one another per usualy and i hand over the gift in the secluded front yard, then i look over toward her car and guess who is waving at me from the driver's seat!!!! It's B-Dog!!!!! Oh JOY!!!

So now what!?!?! What is done is done!!! I am going to assume she informed him of where this originated. I don't trust this bastard at all and feel like i have to discontinue all future projects because of this douchebag. I'm pissed at my sister.... FTW 

Should i introduce this guy to mushroom hunting and not say anything when his picks a Galerina? End the relationship with my sister until he is gone? Discontinue the secret operations i love so much. These kinds of things are deal breakers man and I feel a sacred boundary of trust has been broken.

I know the #1 rule was broken, although in all fairness, I think many of us are guilty of this. :ashamed:

my family members and best friends wouldn't know about my secret garden.  b-dog is not a good person to know this.

It's all in context a lawyer told me about it...

basically up to the cop, discretion I beleive, but there would definantly be a case for something if it got that far.

OP here, as far as the threats go, they were pointed enough to warrant legal action had it been pursued. As far as i'm concerned that is water under the bridge.

I'm just concerned about too much information being shared when there is an undercurrent of mutual hostility. Too bad backward laws create situations like this.... oh well
