They are for Express or Priority mail...they're next to the boxes the USPS gives you for priority mail, along with all the assorted random forms.

And they are actually called "Tyvek Envelopes", so no crypticness needed

Just walk into kinkos, grab a stack and walk out. Tyvek is free you dont have to tell them anything.

If there isnt a good place to 'walk in, grab, walk out' in where you live, like where I do, I'd make up a plausible story. Just from what Ive seen in this thread, I'd go to UPS or USPS and say "Do you have a little stack of tyvek envelopes I can have/buy?" if they ask 'why' just say "Well, I just got into ebay to sell alot of my comic books. I need envelopes that offer air exchange, because it will keep them dry. Even minor humidity buildup can mess paper up and it will depreciate the value of my comic books."

Hell, you can go into any retail place like target, and if your confidant enough and seem like you know what your talking about to the person your talkin too, they wont question you and let you get away with alot.
Yay for chaotic neutral.

Just go to USPS's site.

Seriously, they will give you up to 800 envelopes with no questions asked 100% free. Better than dealing with actual people cause people like to know what's going on around them.

Should not say things like that it is illegal to tell people to get these envelopes and then use them for mycology, because it is defacing government property..

Really? When I ordered mine, it didn't say that I was agreeing to use them only for shipping purposes.

Well what I am telling you is a shroomery/forum rule.. You are not suppose to suggest tyvek envelopes from USPS for the fact it is defacing government property.. Just suggest they buy them at Office Max or some place like that..

I use construction grade tyvec which is easily obtained on ebay.

Check out the difference

Post office tyvec

Construction grade (more reliable)

Construction grade tyvek is laced with a lot of chemicals, though, to meet fire code and whatnot.

Medical grade tyvek is the best, but who knows where to get it?

If that is the case then better to use it. More resistant to contams. Your substrate should never touch your filters.

All tyvek products are made with high-density polyethylene. Maybe research before making bold statements
