Being a Boy Scout
    #9415921 -

Who here did some form of boy scouts?

I think that the skills and framing of scouting is a very good participation for kids/ and adolescents. I think the skills learned are great for psychonauts.

For anyone who doesnt know, boy scouts is like the army but with nothing to do with violence. So it is about surviving and also about being healthy and understanding dangers, and dealing with society, etc etc.

however id have to say, army training would be pretty damn good too. being a powerful human is an advantage while trippin on psychedelics

I did cubscouts which is a brittish empire sort of thing for kids prior to scouts which is for teens. I stopped before going to scouts but by then had spent many years during young age dealing with useful learning

Some of you who have been a scout might disagree?

I personally feel that it is a wise decision to involve your child, and i wonder what other people's thoughts are on this, and the question of whether skills that are learned in scouting or the army are very appropriate for a psychonaut to have?

I don't know. The boy scouts looked down on me when I started killing stuff, but they just kept promoting me in the army.

:machinegun:

But I was never in the boy scouts.

UTFSE.

I joined the military when I was 14, never go to Comax BC military training in officer training when everyone else your age is taking basic training.

I'll remember that next time I'm 14 and consider joining the military again.

After about 3 weeks you cant focus enough to shoot yourself in the foot and go home.

And we got military rations they use in battle during our week hike, Ill never forget how good the pack of matches tasted with that dried up bread.

The military is like the ultimate form of propaganda.  They try to convince people that killing other people is justifiable if its "for the country" and by all means i support the men and woman who protect my ass.  But what they prolly don't realize is that their just tools, like pawns in a chess game.  The soldiers are the pawns and the king is the nation, the people controlling the pawns don't give a fuck about the individual pawn as long as the king survives.

patriotism really wasn't a motivator for me. I knew (and a lot of guys do) that you're an expendable asset. But I'm glad I was a pawn long enough to learn all the cool shit I did.

I mean we have been here before crasher, i'm not saying that your experience in the military didn't help you grow and achieve, i'm saying there are a lot of people like a dude i saw on tv the other day

katie couric:
"How do you feel when you kill a terrorist"

This guy that was in the marines:
"A slight recoil"

Hell my cousin is in the army Clint Shade, i got my own family over there right now.
