Hm... how do you communicate in an OBE? An OBE is detachment of the soul from the body, you ARE your higher self, or rather, THE SELF, at that point.

idk how i "do" it but it seems to exist out of time, maybe even space. it communicates through the world as it happens, but there is no "definable" communication fnord at all. all there are are collapsing moments, i only realize them after they've gone or manifested themselves and by then it's too late, like i can't jump over my own shadow. that is the boundary of time on my physical body, i guess.

anyway i don't know.

I can't find my higher self and I suspect that I have no higher self (because the idea is mumbo jumbo) or that I will never find any higher self.  If I ignore my higher self what are the consequences?

You cant communicate with your higher Self, you are that, how can you be apart from that to communicate with it?

If you want to realize the Self then find out who you really are
the very words 'the Self' point to where? A practice to get somewhere? Or to YOU?

Any magick, shamanism etc...is simply egoic desire for supernatural powers & although it may provide glimpses of truth, they will ultimately be a hinderance to full unbroken Self realization, which is actually the highest power attainable

You dont need to do anything difficult, the Self isnt cruel enough to make you jump over hurdles to be at irrefutable inner peace & cosmic clarity, you are that already, all thats awaiting is that recognition that you are that, this recognition is available to you at all times

Self inquiry is the only way to realize this fully without a doubt

I don't think consequences. The idea of a higher self, according to Bashar and the Law of One, is it is you from the perceived future (time is only linear from our perspective). When a "soul" makes it to the 5th density it has an obligation of the sort to aid and assist its past "self" (3rd density being, where we are) to ascend to the 4th density in the easiest and most smooth manner. So it would be in your best interest to attempt to establish a connection with your higher self, but not necessary.

This logic seems to produce a very strange loop inside of my mind. If we right now have a self existing in 4th density that is trying to help us, are we inadvertently helping a self that is even less than us? If our self in 4th density is aware as we are, then certainly every definable self in our line of existence is aware resulting in our "self" existing in infinite fractions experiencing all time at once....dying or reaching the source and sparking into existence simultaneously. If this is all true than why can't we switch where we experience life from? What sticks us here? If something *is* sticking us here then surely there is a purpose for it if there are even future selves of ours trying to help us out...ergo we shouldn't attempt to change our focus outside of this one.

As far as the original question goes, in my experience doing something creative has brought me closer to a different "self." I kind of shun the idea of this higher self and go straight for the source though...so I'm not sure if it's one or the other that I latch onto in those moments. Getting into a trance playing guitar, dancing to trance music, tripping (hey what surprise!).

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Really: Just ask. You have several lines of thought going through your mind, such as Fearful and Wishful, but your Higher Self is also in there. And if you ask and listen, you will get your answers.

You have to discern it from the other thought processes but its in there. Sometimes your Higher Self has unusual answers, because it foresees things your consciousness has not a clue of.
