One by Metallica is one of the best songs in the world, stoned or sober. I shit you not."It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye, then it's fun and games you can't see." James Hetfield ~Metallica~

My favorite disk to listen to tripping is Dicks Picks volume 6 disk 3. IT starts out with some spaced out DRUMMING into the SPINACH JAM into THE OTHER ONE into STELLA BLUE into SUGAR MAGNOLIA into US BLUES. It changed my life when i listened to it on headphones frying on liquid. It was like i could here voices in the crowd being amazed at what the band was pulling. I could not only hear the music, i could see it with my eyes closed. Entangleing and combining into a wall on sound. I wish that disk sounded like that all the time. GIve it a shot on headphones, they really bring out the surrounding noises on live disks.

I'd definately have to say one of the best long jams is Paul Oakenfold Live from Ibiza. Him and some other good dj's like Paul Van Dyke did a series called the essential mix. Each set take up a whole cd, and its really cool to listen to the whole thing at once, feel the tension build, and have no stops in the music for an hour. gw

ShroomervilleUmmm, I don't know what to say about this. I have a friend who recorded it for me. Do you have Hotline? It's a computer program (free). Download it at www.bigredh.com There's basically a bunch of servers on there you can access, and download MP3's and full programs from. I downloaded the entire Oswego show from one of these servers, and I've seen the Clifford Ball on there somewhere. It just takes a while to try to find the Phish servers. To get a list of servers, go to www.tracker-tracker.com Clifford Ball was amazing. I was right up front when Page took the intro to Bathtub Gin into his own hands. How'd you like the Clifford village? I helped make those buildings. Next time you head to one of the two day shows on the east coast, come to the Flatbread Pizza booth. Maybe you'll see me. I normally work at the outdoor venues. Ask for Oswego.

The live version of "The End" by The Doors. I actually dig it more then the studio version and it's like 15 min. someone mentioned echoes, I agree there. Riviera Paradise by Stevie Ray Vaughn. It's kinda jazzy and mellow.about 9 min.

Oswego...by far it was the greatest show of my life. I was in one of the buildings in the village, and started playing with this hair I thought was attatched to the wall. It totally freaked me out when I discovered that it was a hole in the wall and some girl had her hair dangling through it. I haven't been to any event since then that has been so well organized. Great job!

i like listening to phish's "split open and melt", especially some live version i have on mp3 with the horns section------------------ Two mice are in an English music hall watching a chorus line. "Lovely legs, haven't they?" says the first mouse. "Oh, I don't know," says the other. "I'm a titmouse myself."

Cortez the Hunter by Neil Young. Recently redone by Built to Spill on their newest album. As Mr. Burns would say, "Excellent Smithers, excellent!!!"

wtf? Blasphemy in this here thread. To quote the words of the above..."Watchtower cover by Dave Matthews is tight, but the original by Hendrix is even better."JIMI HENDRIX DID NOT WRITE ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER!!! It was Bob Dylan, for christ's sake. I'm sorry, but once my gf drug me to a DMB concert (I HATE DMB) and I actually heard someone say that during watchtower - "dude, this is a hendrix song". as for the best music to trip to, it's all about the dead. try: 5/12/74 Truckin -< Nobody's fault but mine jam -> other one -> mind left body jam -> row jimmy row (about 45 minutes) 5/2/70 St stephen -> cryptical -> drums -> other one -> cryptical peace.
