Some advice please (PTSD)

One of my freinds did mushrooms last night, not with me but somewhere else and they did 110 liberty caps and hap the whole not being able to see anything paranoid resistance bad trip.

It sounds to me like they've come down with PTSD or GAD posab HPPD i don't know. Now i have had the same thing from 140 liberty caps, but i'm more of the sort of person who likes losing their mind and i managed to get out of PTSD fairly well, because i'm relatively strong minded and have a kinda spiritual orientation. I do my research now and know how my mind and the substance works pretty well now.

I'm wandering if you have any suggestions to how i could give her a hand with the PTSD because i don't think she's the sort of person who will be that good at changing her thought patterns.

I was kinda thinking of trip-sitting a psychedelic re-entry and attempting to get her to confront the emotional problems. I don't know though because she ain't the sort of person who handles drugs very well.

Any suggestions?

what drives people to heroic stupidity?
there is no short cut to healing the mind.
every aspect of life, family, work, school has to be treated now as medicinal.
she has to want to be healed more than she wants to be damaged.

Well it wont be permanent but i suggest taking it slow. Rest, eat well, stay hydrated and smoke some weed. In a week or two she'll feel back to normal.

I believe it's a combination of arrogance an lack of self worth.

Herein lies the problem, i guess i just need to convince her of this.

Sure as hell took me longer than a couple of weeks.

I have done "emergency re-entry" trips before...

Sometimes I have had trips that were so soul-crushing that I needed to "go back" on a smaller dose to help integrate the big one...it's helped me out everytime. 

her mileage may very, though.

100 and something liberty caps is like meeting aliens for the first time ,your just not going to snap back into the groove and goto work the next day all happy go lucky............its going to warp the head for awhile....its perfectly normal,it take a while to wrap ones head around that type of exsperiance.

What you call PTSD is nothing more than the time it takes to put all the marbles back in place and do some re- aranging.
It can take up to 3 months for some people to get it all put back together again.:shrug:

I disagree it is simply from resistance that PTSD is created. This was a bad trip not a difficult experience, she did not go with the mushroom she resisted the effects. Just because it took you and me a few months doesn't mean it will take her 3 months as Moth said mileage varies.

What symptoms is the person experiencing that make you think they are undergoinging post traumatic stress or generalized anxiety?

He or She will come back and become normal again, it takes time cuz im sure that he or she went through some profound stuff.  Heroic doses aren't stupid imo, they are just not for everyone, you can learn a lot about your self from them.  He or she is gonna need some baby sitting or the next couple of days, then they will come back.  Although there is a slight chance they may not come back, some people that take heroic doses often say "I never really come back down."

On my highest dose of mushrooms I was sure I would never come down, but I did for the most part that night about 8 hours later. 2 or 3 weeks later and I was fine. I was fine during the 2 or 3 weeks after the trip too but it was a different quality of fine to be sure. That experience changed my life.

There are some people that took thumb prints back in the 70's and 80's who says they never really came down all the way.

That thought of "Im never going to come back down" is pretty normal for people unfamiliar with high doses.

That is completely normal.

I too have been convinced i have died, from mushrooms LSD and DMT.

Its a normal part of the psychedelic experience, losing the ego can be scary if you don't see it coming.

I've had what you seem to be describing from extremely high doses of LSD. I did not resist the power of the drug, and let it wash completely over me (I had a blast, to say the least). I still suffered extremely strong residual visual distortions lasting up to 3 weeks, and the psychological effects lasted almost a month.

Resistance does play a roll, I just think this is more common than you might believe.

Well i haven't seen her yet but she said she didn't feel good today etc. over the phone and her mum is a schizophrenic, so i'm a tad worried. Hopefully things will work out.

I know even though I resisted my high dose it was still the biggest catalyst to change for me and i know i will repeat it again in a more informed manner.

Why would you let anyone with a history of mental illness even experiment with psychedelics?
