Is grinding shrooms into grapefruit juice a good idea?

I have about 2.5g dried and 5-6 medium-small sized FRESH mushrooms that I wanted to divide between two people. I've read that the fresh mushrooms are a bit stronger, but I'm still wary whether this will be enough to split into two doses.

I've read that grapefruit juice is often used by senior citizens to strengthen prescription drug doses because it helps to break down stomach enzymes that would absorb certain drugs into their systems.

I was curious if anybody knew how it would affect dosage to blend the aforementioned amount of mushrooms into 16 oz of grapefruit juice for two people.

Good idea, useless, or potential for disaster?

When I posted this a list came up with similar posts (it wouldn't let me read about half of them for some reason), and one of them had a report from someone who tried the lemon juice and claimed it didn't help at all. I'm thinking that maybe I should drink 10 oz of grapefruit juice an hour before and then maybe mix what I grind up into some lemon juice?

Whatever you do, absolutely never, ever, EVER base such ideas on one random report that you read. EVER.

Lemon juice works far better than grapefruit juice does, and I personally can attest to its ability to make a mushroom trip hit you very hard.

blending them with any liquid and drinking it will hit you harder and faster than eating them. I've never done the lemon juice one, but blended it with orange juice and it was like a freight train.

IMO any citric acid juice will enhance the experience. There were several threads a year or two ago that alluded to this issue and the consensus was grapefruit, oj, lemon juice etc, all worked, some better than others.

Well, I did some more research on this forum, and it seems split a bit between people who think it's a placebo effect, and people who swear by it. I'm going to try it, but I'm also going to try grapefruit juice.

45 min before I drink the lemon juice blend I'm going to down 10 oz of not from concentrate grapefruit juice, and when I mix the dry and wet mushrooms into the lemon juice I'm going to let them sit about 10 minutes. I'm guessing that I'll have 8 oz of juice per serving, so I'll use a total of 16 oz for two people.

Does that sound like the right amount of time to wait, and the right amount of juice needed?

haha, I just embarked. 2.0g dried (I swore there was more yesterday.... hmmmmmmm) and 10.0g freshly picked. This is split between two people.

10 oz of grapefruit juice was consumed 1/2 hour before taking the lemon-mushroom hybrid. I let the mushroom stew-gew sit for 10 minutes before we drank it. I hope this works properly. I'll give a report tomorrow.
