all the cakes in my freinds terrerium are fuzzy - i heard thats the sign of too high humidity, hes using about an inch of perlite with water and hydrogen peroxide (about 10%) and he stopped misting, the sides of the terrerium are foggy enough that he knows the humidity is atleast decent. temp has been between 75-80 and theyre getting fanned about 3 times a day total. should they be getting fanned below the drip sheild or just on top? theyre getting 12 hrs of flourescent grow light a day. theyve only been in their for about 3 days but he just doesnt want them to die or anything. any suggestions? or is a little bit of fuzziness alright. they werent dunked or cold shocked, just dropped in. also, any other tips to get pinning started? or just patience? thanks

A pic would be helpful. It sounds like cobweb mold.

put your mister in the fridge and let it get real cold and one light spray on each cake it worked for me. but it works better on casings. or just cold shock them.

It's normal, my cakes are doing that to..
If you tKE EM OUT OF THE TERRARIUM and smell them they should still have a nice mushroomy smell to them.
It looks like polyfill almsot but it's normal for mycelium to do this in cakes, especially after a verm layer around em.
Dont H202 spray em anymore let em chill =D
If it turns gray ur fuked tho

With cakes, (or cubes in general), there is no such thing as "too much humidity".
Cubes thrive in 100% humidity, so the question I have to ask you is: How the hell do you get higher than 100%?
