I read about putting your cakes on your perlite layer after a coupla flushes. Is it ok to do this even with Hydrogen Peroxide in the water? Will it kill me or da mycellium?

I dont think it would matter, but I could be wrong. As long as you have it really diluted, it should cause any harm

Hydrogen Peroxide must always be diluted, as Angryshroom pointed out. Are the cakes set in the jar lids? I have been putting verm. in the jar lids and dampening it with very dilute peroxide and setting the cakes on that. It's cleaner, and when it seems to need more dampening, I just add more dilute H2O2.
Dunking can also be used to re-hydrate the cakes, but really you should modify your recipe for the cakes and add more water. Messing with the cakes increases the chance of something bad happening to them. If you must dunk, a brand new CLEAN ziplock works fine, however you should pad under it as the cakes will bruise easily. (personal experience) Use sterilized water for this, of course.
I'm sure most of this is common sense, but you never know! Hope this helps.

The best way for me to rehydrate cakes is it to dunk.
Boil up a big pot of tap water for 10 min or so. Put a plate on top of the pot(used to keep cakes under). Let cool. Throw some cakes in there. Keep it covered. Let sit over night. Take out and dab off water drops. Put back in terranium. Pinning beginns in a few days.
The cakes wont suck up anymore moisture then they need.
