Yes, mushrooms fruit on agar easily. For many species, including cubes, a casing is not required, and agar fruits. See the below thread on fruiting agar, and maybe somebody will leave some more info there. I'm planning on trying it regularly very soon.

any strain that fruits on agar is a good bet for yer next batch as for saving it pure water wild hold strains dormant
