Vision Improving?

This is probably going to sound weird, but have any nearsighted heavy DMT users noticed DRAMATIC vision improvement since using it?

I've been smoking a lot of it for maybe a month and my vision is CLEARLY improved. I no longer need my contacts in because I don't need them to use the PC, laptop, watch TV, at the cinema...I use glasses now which I only need in glasses. This is a SUBSTANTIAL improvement, and definitely not placebo. I can read things at distances where the text would be a total blur.

Is this just random vision improvement? I thought I noticed it after a week, but I assumed it was just some sort of placebo or psychadelic artifact.

Just what, exactly, is fucking happening?

Well, I think I've experienced something similar in the short term, but my guess is it has to do with something like improved post-processing rather than your eyes actually improving.

I'm gonna fall back on a computer analogy because it is easy to understand.  Suppose you have a shitty web cam, but through the magic of a smart algorithm, the images it produces look higher resolution than it can normally produce.  Computers can be especially adapt at improving video information (as opposed to a still photograph) by using data from information in other frames.

I think something similar might be going on in your brain.  I don't think your eyes are actually getting better, as if you had laser surgery.  Instead, I think your brain might be naturally enhancing the fuzzy information from your eyes as a result of your DMT use.  I had something similar happen to me when I started using LSD.

That would make sense, its just surprising how text that was a complete blur before is so clear now.

I notice it while tripping and usually the day after. It has never been permanent in my experience. I've never tried DMT, but it has happened to me on shrooms and LSD, so I assume it would for DMT as well.

i am very nearsighted and was smoking DMT daily for roughly 1 week+ a while ago.  i did not notice an improvement in my vision.

Do you really consider Terence a reputable source on factual information?

Yes, there are studies demonstrating a measurable improvement in visual acuity while under the influence of psilocybin. That's a far cry from saying "mushrooms improve your vision dramatically".

Anyway, first hand experience is the best proof, I'm only trying to help. Simply do some eye exercises for 10 minutes a day, and your eyes will get better. Even if they are already good, they can even get better. Actually doing the exercises will cost you less time than reading up about how the eye works etc...

PM me for an explanation on the exercises, because apparently I can't talk about it in here because it will upset other people LOL

These are the exercises I do daily.

Exercise one: Train your peripheral vision, simply focus on it. That's all. Looking with the corner of your eyes, focusing on the part where your vision actually stops. Over time your peripheral vision will gain sharpness and color.

Exercise two: Train your iris, the muscle, the colorful part of your eyes that is responsible for lens and the pupil opening. Zoom in and zoom out, look further and closer, blur and unblur your vision. Very easy, you can't do this too much because your eyes will start to hurt. This improves sharpness.

Exercise three: Train the rods and cones in your eyes. Cut out 7 circles (10-15cm diamter) of the 7 primary rainbow colors and put them against a white background (I glued them on a white card). Do the same as exercise two, staring at the circles while blurring and unblurring your vision. This will make the rods and cones more sensitive to these colors, you can use less or more colors, but I do it with 7. This improves color vision.

Exercise four: Train the adaption of rods and cones to high contrast by cutting out a white star for example and putting it against a black background, and do the same as exercise two, stare at the star while blurring and unblurring your vision.

Exercise five: Train the adaption of the rods and cones to change of light. Simple move your eyes, as fast as you can from point 1 to point 2 to point 3 to point 4 without moving your head.. or rotate your eyes really fast if you are able to do that.

Anyway, exercise 1, 2 and 3 are giving me the best and most obvious results. You can train exercise 1 and 2 anytime, anywhere, and exercise 3, 4 and 5 will already take effect when practising 5 or 10 minutes a day combined. So you won't really waste much time on these exercises at all really.

Hope this helps, it did for me and changed my life.
