HPPD? 2c-e and 2c-i gave me some pretty noticeable effects that I am still experiencing to a slight degree. I have a lot more visual static now and sometimes I can see aura's around people sometimes. It's weird

Tryptamines make me feel like I can see more clearly, idk how much of that is truth or trip though

it's coming up on two weeks since the last trip and my visions still super sharp.  How long do these after effects last after low dose trips?! its still amazing, everything I look at its like I'm looking at it for the first time because i see every little detail in crystal clarity.  Patterns flare up too, especially radial ones on the ground.

Improving vision and correcting a problem are two separate things.
I find it completely reasonable that psychedelics may highlight the patterns animals use as camouflage, and patterns/evidence of tracks/droppings etc, but i find it highly unlikely that they have the capacity to correct say, a muscular problem in the eye over the course of a week (hasn't been mentioned by the OP but just sayin).

I'd also recommend you see an optometrist if you actually want to base your claims on fact, rather than 'pretty sure i'm 20/10 or 20/20 now).

Also pretty sure HPPD is neurological and not visual.

I'm 90% sure that my vision was significantly enhanced ( i am nearsighted) for weeks after my first time dropping acid, but I attribute this to kundalini and not the acid itself. I hardly noticed at the time, but then my vision started getting worse as my old habits regained control...definitely makes me think there's something to the Bates method theory that vision problems are one mechanism for coping with stress in certain individuals. LIke, people hold stress in different places, and for some people, when they become stressed it leads to the decline of their vision.

Done shrooms only at night but noticed improved vision. I could see better in pitch black darkness, phone screen colors seemed more vivid. Most interesting thing is that visual noise or snow has gone away, vision was crystal clear :smile: Maybe this has to do with psilocybin dampening neural activity and/or increasing eye aperture.

Why does it 'concern' you, that your vision has improved?


I notice on low doses of shrooms, everything becomes much sharper and clearer, like seeing the world in HD for the first time.

I never noticed this effect staying after they wore off though, however I do notice little details in things that I'd normally not be aware of whilst sober.

what a load of sh*t

for the past 2 years I've probably been on a shroom trip on average every 5 days and my eyes are incredible, I blow people away with my ability to read words at distance and spot things moving in the woods half a mile away or something along those lines

yes sometimes i'll notice some slight effects of hppd but it's very rare, maybe a slight ripple in the wall every week

SWIM hasn't done mushrooms in almost 15 years.

When he was about 17, he and a friend popped some at about 6pm.

He couldn't sleep that night and before he had gotten ready for work, he chilled out on the back porch and gazed around.

Over 12 hours after doing the shrooms, he noticed his attention to detail was very different.

Instead of seeing a field of grass in front of him, he was now able to focus on every individual sprout of grass in the lawn, a very different perspective. 

At that moment, he thought it profoundly interesting, but being a teenager, never really gave it much thought after and resumed life and never reflected much on that moment.

Present day, his vision has declined and now wears glasses to see, 6/12 vision.  He has always been nervous about trying shrooms again as he feels too old and his gut always gave him butterflies just thinking about it.

But recently, he has some sort of mental willpower to want to do them again, he wants to try micro dosing initially. He is curious if his vision will improve because of the effect a single large dose had over a  decade ago.

SWIY should try mushrooms again. I don't know about vision because my vision is already very good. But I am taking mushrooms again after many years like you, I mean SWIY, and I do feel more mental clarity and lucidity.
