get a seagull twelve string i made mine standard but its pretty damn good or go for a ramirez if you can.

I got an Epiphone Masterbilt aj500m. I really like this guitar, its all solid wood and has a pretty good sound. I didn't really compare it to any other guitars, so here are some online reviews.

Not really in your price range.

Go to every pawn shop you can find.

Never buy a new guitar.

Never buy a guitar you havent played.

Always haggle.

Never buy a guitar that cost more than you can reasonably afford.

Your own ability to play is far more important than the quality of the guitar itself.
