Dreaming of Nothing

In the dream I can't remember anything. I can't remember my name, that I am a human, that I am laying on something called a bed under some covers, Nothing. I literally cannot remember anything about myself or this planet.

At the same time, I can't see anything. I am not seeing black, I am seeing Nothing. I can't hear or feel anything.

And yet I am conscious somehow. It is a very weird dream.

The dream ends when I realize I am breathing, then I wake up. But even after I wake up, it takes me a few seconds to get back all my memories.



Nothing feels good!

This sounds like a truly interesting experience. It's hard, maybe impossible to try to imagine how it would feel to not remember anything at all but still be conscious. Maybe if unborn children could remember their experiences, this is what they would remember.

I think what I remember is that I am breathing, and then I wake up and my memories flood back. I can't really remember before that, but I know I was conscious.

I get this alot, do you meditate or do any awareness practices?

I practice self inquiry alot & when i inquire in a dream suddenly everything dissappears & i fall into deep sleep, total annihilation but awareness is still there, its sleep with the absence of dream, deep sleep

Upon waking memory starts to come back & usually is preceded by awareness of breathing

At times when i fall asleep my body feels totally paralyzed but it feels incredibly blissfull as i keep surrendering into that deep sleep state, when we are in deep sleep our bodies & minds are immersed in the purest state, the original awareness & complete relaxtion & rest are had, its like every cell of our bodies gets immersed in that pure state in order for our bodies & minds to have refreshing rest, its also possible to have this state while waking...which is incredible

Not uncommon but still a very strange feeling. In some ways similar to salvia.

Night-time is always an interesting experience for me. My dreams are usually overpowering in a postitive way and there are instances of 'falling', healing and out of body experiences. I think anything like what you're describing can be the opening for an OBE - this is being only your soul, separate from your body. I'm pretty certain now that there are planes, and what we can reality is just one of them, and when you're on the soul plane everything is arranged very differently. For example, my room has a completely different arrangement when I wake into this soul plane, it's kind of like quantum mechanics - not everything has collapsed into place yet because I'm not really looking, not quite all there. And there are also creatures it seems on these different levels - I moved slightly and saw a man just over a foot high run away.

Anyway, do everything you can to amplify the dream state - dream herbs, melatonin, remembering the dream state...

To be honest I would rather have a drug dream.

Sometimes I have a dream that I am high on opiates or mdma and its feels real. That would be cool to scan my brain to see if vast amounts of dopamine or seratonin are being released during those dreams.

Alas, those dreams are so rare...

I know it will be hard to dream of Nothing again also.

Sleep is certainly no ordinary state of mind, it's the dark side of our light existence, the unconscious vs. conscious, positive vs. negative, not to say it is negative, but to say it's the other end of the polarity of existence. Therefore we don't really "sleep", as psychology will note - there are brain wave patterns differing through the sleep cycles, so it's an involved process, and what's to say you have to be comatose through it all? To become awake INSIDE the dream is to take it to another level of your mind, and what's to say you shouldn't be there? Maybe you should...

But, it is not the fact, cause the fact is that you just do not recall your dreams..

You don't dream during slow-wave sleep though.  I think this is what OP is referring to; very interesting that you're able to actually experience this state.  :thumbup:

Hm.. interesting.
I will try to give you a thought to ponder on..
Every existing thing whether its physical or spiritual.Comprehensible by our minds or not IS..
Under the causality law. Cause and affect.
Imagine a set of dominoes . Each domino being pushed  by the previous one being pushed by the previous one.
So.. inevitably the question will arise : Who pushed the first one.It cant be you.. or me ?
For we are being pushed ourselves.
It would have to be someone/something a concept.. That functions outside of this law perfectly.It is not influenced by this law in any way.
For this to be possible.. this thing must be non-existent.
It must be nothing :smile:
A nothingness... the nothing.. call it whatever you want.
Its not there..
Nothingness works in such a way.. that it cannot exist not even for the smallest part of a smallest part of a second.
Nothingness cannot exist long enough , because it instantaneously makes "something".
Therefore .. becoming the creation.
These two things are kind of interconnected ..
You cannot create.. if its already been made. It has to not exist, and you, want to put it into existence.
This is precisely why.. EVERYTHING is possible.
Because nothing....  isnt :smile:
Funny isnt it.. how our language will never stop being contradictory to the actual truth( if we acknowledge  an actual one)
IMO.. we gotta get back to the basics.This is something children should know.

Hey, sounds like a nice time. You should really look into Lucid dreaming if you are into dreams. Live two lives. I dont know how much background you have on it, but check this site out. It takes time and patience but when you lucid dream its truly amazing. http://www.ld4all.com/guide.html
