For me, songs I have listened to while tripping, always bring me somewhat back to the trip. Meaning the audio sounds much clearer, and much different than I remember before I had tripped to it.

I concur.
Basically, all of my favorite bands have tracks which cause the goosebump effect.  As far as tool is concerned, I really feel that its most chilling track is eon blue apocalypse.  So much of their music has that breakthrough, profound type effect.  But this track in particular is just so perfect in the way that it follows so calmly after the incredible grudge outro and leads into the patient.
Also, the "goosebump effect" reminds me of one song in particular which is absolutely stellar and features, IMO, the most beautiful guitar part ever.  It is "st. elmo's fire" on the brian eno album "another green world".  Guitar by Robert Fripp.

Fuck yeah! I saw them live in '06 when they still had Jon Theodore(kicked ass ). I had my eyes closed the entire time and just went with it. That was at the height of my Volta obsession, definitely got some chills.

I know these guys are crazy! I've seen them like 6 times! They're unsigned and they are extremely loud with only two guys in the band.

THANK YOU MYSPACE, FOR INTRODUCING ME TO DAMAGE. This band gives me goosepimples every where and I mean every where! Yes even there, geez. This band is a perfect band to throw on when your tripping balls. Just close your eyes and throw on some headphones and let your mind do the rest!
