Baraka, whilst sober, with parents.

I just watched this all the way through with them, sober, all the way through. My Dad really liked it and was very moved, my mum was perplexed but found the orthodox church with mirrored walls and ceilings awe inspiring.

Normally I found this film too boring to watch more than half an hour of. This time, I watched it all in one sitting, the lake scene (still lake mirroring the clouds) almost brought me to tears.

This is so odd. I normally try my best to avoid them, it's so out of place that they'd want to watch something from my film collection.

Baraka is a great movie. I haven't watched it for a long time, and I plan on doing it next time I meet up with Lucy. :super:

A truly awe inspiring film.

Also check out the Qatsi trilogy if you haven't already.  I saw the third one a couple of weeks ago, it came on TV at about 2am.  It's very different to the first two, given that it's mostly comprised of stock footage and computer graphics.  It even takes a dive into the Mandelbrot set at one point.

When high I'm too introverted for films and games. I do like playing with toys, especially sand castling.

Creating things is so gratifying.

Chronos is good i got the boxset of the pair, the thread title made me laugh "sober with parents" like the film was meant to be watched when your alone & high as a kite!

But yeah very nice movie, i always mix it up with chronos though when talking about scenes with people

I think Baraka is the one with all the time lapse....the little hairy mokey keeping warm in the hot spring brought a tear to my eye, just look in his tiny little beady eyes and if you dont feel something your a cold hearted bastard!!!
