Everyone seems to have such a fresh attitude. After leaving the forums for about a week this place seems to be filled with losers.

losers was the wrong word and i didn't mean for this to be an attack. just thinking in type honestly, even if its not full of accolades

some better words to describe my distaste for much of the crowd might be punkish or abrasive. not to pick on him (i dont really know this dude) but LearyBan's avatar shows a guy falling off a motorcycle with the title "it's funny because he died". ok, you can find humor in death if you need to but that is just in bad taste and disrespectful. its actually what inspired this post because i thought it was sooo typical of so many personas on here

that said i really like a lot of you people a lot but sometimes i feel like this is a few good islands in a bad part of town.

i might just move into the unlimitedly free real estate of cyberspace and build my own nest

I think the ratio of shitty to wonderful personalities here is more or less consistent with the rest of the world. The problem is that the shitty people are so much easier to notice: we take note of some asshole laughing at others' pain, but we often overlook the people who take time out of their day to say a kind word or two, to calm a guy experiencing a bad trip, or to compliment a girl on her new doo.

The good heavily outweighs the bad IMO.

i disagree with a lot of shit people post on here, but i also disagree with the world view of the majority of my countrymen. people are different, and internet forum posters will always try to act hard/fresh/punkish b/c they can get away with it. you think 99% of the OTD posters would say "Nigger" in front of a ghetto black guy? fuck no they wouldn't. neither would most people laugh at a guy dying in front of them.

The phrase "like you people" is one that I tend to listen for in debate.  It is usually a sign of somebody that has set themselves, in their own mind, to be better or above the people they are debating.  The phrase is also used to support the stereotyping of a group based upon the actions of a few.  "You people are all alike..." as an example.  It is an indication of a shallow mind, but then, so is calling people losers.
