as an experiment the other day i ground up .3 g's, yeah 3 tenths of a gram, and mixed it into a shot of lemon juice as usual.

i didn't really expect to feel anything at all, which wouldnt have been a terrible thing because i had to meet up with my gf's family later that night. with lots of weed smoked i felt pretty out of it. not really a visual trip. but i had a decent body high for about an hour or so, and a strong head high for about 2 hours. i was driving three hours after onset.

good for a short compact trip.

I have to be brutally honest here. My wife and I can not substantiate your claims of hypertripping through our own experiences with this technique.

We have been tripping on my homegrown B+ Cubs for a few months now. I read your post and others with great interest and we decided to give it a try this weekend. I mixed up 2 shots, each one having the freshly squeezed juice from 1 lemon and 1 lime and mixed about 1.7 powdered grams into each lemon/lime mix (2 x 1.7 = 3.4 total) and let them sit for 15 minutes. We both slammed them back and washed it down with some diet lemonade. I decided on 1.7 grams each because I was lead to believe that the meteoric sendup and trip should be in a magnitude of 2-10x the regular dosing. We know from past experiences that the potency of these Cubs will take you on a sizzling visual trip at 3.4 grams so I decided to start in this neighborhood.

We began feeling the usual initial onsets in about 15-20 minutes and the full effect came around after about 45 minutes. This is really not much different than what we have found by just chewing the dried fruits. The real "disappointment" came when we realized at the peak that we were no higher than we normally would be on 1.7 grams.

From our empirical experience, we found that this lemon/lime tek gave no substantially different results than what we would have enjoyed doing it the regular way of just eating them and not having to choke down the acidic cocktail. As for me and my family, we're going back to the other way.

Anything for the sake of science. YMMV.

  If anything it comes up a TINY bit faster, maybe one little bit harder if anything.
There are many ways to do it and this is just a dream dreamed up by a custy who thought he was making a breakthrough or some such shit.

Good for some placebo effects, and perhapse a slightly stronger/no slash that/faster come up.

If you want to compare finely powdered and swallowed shrooms to simply chewed and eaten shrooms, there might be a difference.

If you want to compare powdered shrooms with water vs. powdered shrooms with lemon juice, yer just not going to see much of a difference.

Its all about the absorbtion.
  And if you can connect the dots, acidic shit is no magic bullet really, unless you shit out of your mouth frequently.

So, Id have said the same thing he did, almost.

Try it though.
It cant hurt.

I did bout 4, and these were really small and I was tripping, and I also had a full stomach and dosed right after eating, did take a fair while for it to kick in. These shrooms bruised so blue, so much blue that the whole stem was just blue and i didn't even try blue them haha pretty cool!

The other day had the same amount of shrooms, empty stomach, hadn't eaten anything for the whole day nearly, then dosed em drank some water and then waited... nothing.. haha so yeah lemon tek works for me I guess.

i cant immagine it making a big difference in low doeses of weaker mushrooms,
but with 4 grams of liberty caps, in cranberry juice.
people were paralyzed.

I didn't have any scissors so i wasn't able to powder the shrooms, hence maybe i didnt test this lemon tek thing out properly.  But i did pull the shrooms into the smallest bits i could with my fingers.  I didn't notice any difference in the onset time though tbh, about 20-25 mins.  Will try the same dose again without lemon and see how it compares.

say what you want about the overall success of a lemon trip, but you cannot argue about how quick the come up is.

45 minute peak being just about normal? what shrooms do you usually eat? i usually am just starting to come up at 45 mins, sometimes an hour, with the peak coming anywhere from an hour and a half to three hours in.

I will admit that the come up was marginally quicker, but not skyrocketing, like I have seen it described.

What I said originally was that although it was a little faster, that was not my real complaint. The trip was not nearly as intense as it has been described. Was there an important step, an incantation, a virgin sacrifice to Baal that I missed? Lessee, Lemon-lime-powdered-15 minutes-slam...no, I'm fairly sure that was the recipe for the potion.

I'm just saying that in our case, the Emperor has No Clothes.

You said that your shrooms weren't entirely powdered, and you "let them sit" for 15 minutes.  My experiences with this method have involved completely powdering the shrooms, and actively stirring them for at least half of the 20-minute soak time.

Clearly there is room for the possibility that your process was not sufficient to produce the same results reported by others.  At the very least it would be prudent to try again, being more thorough in your extraction before boldly asserting that "the emperor has no clothes".

I'm not saying it's a 10-fold increase in potency, but I found it to have a marked effect on the potency of the experience (1.5-2x), as well as a considerable condensing of the duration of the experience.

People know that if you snort drugs like E or Ritalin, you will come up faster and/or harder, and it will last less time than if you had eaten it.

Same basic thing here. You are dissolving the drugs out of the mushroom tissue into some liquid, so it can be absorbed much faster. I agree with what yageman said. The ultimate form of this is mushroom tea. Give it a try, it tastes a hell of a lot better. (Dont even start about psilocybin breaking down in boiling water.)

first off. ive eaten over 1.7 grams of some mushrooms that didn't feel like i thought 1.7 grams should feel like. the effects are definitely extremely shortened no matter what mushrooms you took in the shot, but the effects vary just as much as eating them any other way i would assume. and also, to me starting to feel the effects of the mushrooms as quick as 5-10 minutes is not just marginally quicker, it's considerably faster. maybe just because i hate waiting to come up but that is really fast.

and btw i don't think it's much different then the experience from making a tea(which often has lemon in it) if you drink the tea relatively fast anyways. the come up over in a half hour or so, it lasts about half as long and the first hour and half is a much heavier body load then normally experienced.  same idea behind both.

Last time I ate shrooms, I ground 'em up and mixed them into a couple ounces of lime juice.  Hardest trip I ever had.  I was scared I was gonna lose my shit.  I can vouch for this tek, it works.

Did up an O total in lemon juice- divided it into 10 shots for a camping trip.  :crazy2:

These weren't the most potent fruits, but boy- around 2.7-3g powder in 1 shot...zonk.

Nice fast come-up, no nausea, plenty of insanity.

I wouldn't say it's a miracle synergistic potion, but it is handy for making even doses, handy for giving to people "here do a shot", it cuts the nausea and metamucil effects if you filter it (and smushing the mash through a screen to squeeze out the juice doesn't seem to mess with potency).

I didn't think it shortened the duration too much at all. 

If anything, I liked the abrupt come-up, because coming up when simply eating them can be sort of hard on the mind...I liked getting the anxious bit over quickly.
