I mean is there a way to distinguish a cop from a person or pretty much they're like everyone else? Like what are some signs your neighbor may be a narc/snitch/cop

if an undercover cop is good at what he does, i am assuming you wouldn't be able to tell.  do you get a super sketchy vibe from the dude? if so i would say don't fuck with them anyway, cop or no.

if they repeatedly ask you in explicit language whether you're planning on doing anything illegal.

well it shouldn't be a problem if they're a cop if you don't sell drugs out of your house. 

if you're still worried just ask him if he's a cop because if he is he'd have to tell you otherwise it's entrapment.
