I have added a bunch of "exotics" species forums under the User Forums for all the major Panaleous and Psilocybes you will be wanting to grow.

These forums I will post data to as soon as time permits and are for advanced growers and mad scientists branching into the more exotic mushroom varieties.

hi nacho...

i ordered aculture of the zapotecorum...but no answer yet...

the natalensis resisted fruiting on all sorts of subtrates.....whole millet as spawn was best until now...

also im working on your hispanica...mycelial groth is similar to semis but the colour is more brownish...right?

As far as i know hispanica mycelium is white... maybe you have contams... Ryche knows people in the Usa that fruited the hispanica using outdoor dung tek ..ask him for details...

Back when I had some cultures of the p. hispanica going it was a thick white mycelium.
A friend of mine has been doing a lot of work with it and she says it loves crushed oyster shells.
She puts 2 to 3 tablespoons mixed in a quart jar with rye grain and has speeded up tremendously.

Your friend raised the pH with the oyster shell.
The growth response is more than likely from raising the pH.
Isn't the pH of rye grain around 4-5 ?
