Well lets see, violence because it is illegal, anxiety causing because it's illegal, and risk of heart attack? Couldn't that have more to do with the food your eating and lack of exercise?
And who the fuck funds the studies of "The National Institute of Health?" Big pharm? Lobbyists? The medical establishment? All possibly wanting to keep the big money flowing in? And pot causes depression? Yeah lets put that on pot and not how fucked up society is getting, but then again there are plenty of anti-anxiety and and anti-depression pills out their if you have the money for your more than willing doctor to prescribe them to you.
She sounds like a polished, bought and paid for politition, I thought New York was more liberal than that. I hope if O'bama gets in that he will relax many of the drug laws and at least make them reasonable, I doubt Clinton and I know McCain will do nothing about it.

Surely marijuana helps to lower the chances of heart attack since it lowers blood pressure? What a load of bull.

Blood pressure is generally raised, along w/ pulse, after smoking. At higher doses this effect reverses and you can have lowered blood pressure.

i think it can cause heart attack.

But this is a mild risk, something like a four times more likelihood of MI, and I don't believe the study I'm familiar w/ controlled for poor medication compliance and diet.

But this doesn't matter anyways. This is a medical decision for a doctor. The effects aren't likely to be realized by a healthy person.
