You are not the only one who uses them thar Snapple jars, hahaha:thumbup:
I have been using them for years as an LC jar-Those Starbucks coffee bottles work great too!
I also add the Tyvek for added insurance.
Nice to know other people are doing the same:cool:

Great write-up too

Re: Snapple/Karo Liquid culture guide [Re: galadar]

I take a quart jar(for measuring purposes) and fill it up with water(600-700ml) and then  add 2-3 tablespoons
of "Light Karo Corn syrup", shake to mix, then use that to fill up the snapple jars-(I use the quarts for WBS/grains).
I then add a layer of Tyvek,
then the lid, which has a 1/4' inch hole in the top, with poly fill, cover with foil, PC for 20 minutes @ 15psi,
let cool inoculate and then  set them in a box on the top shelf of a closet(Heat rises). Once I see a good chunk
of mycelia growing(5-10 days) I then set the jars in the door of the fridge to slow down growth and to
allow for the jars to be agitated every time I open the door This way they will keep a little longer so  I can use
them as I need them.

Hope that was helpfull:thumbup:

that was helpful sir.
do you think a lil bit of polyfill floating
in the solution could hurt anything? i doubt it...
