Once of the trippiest sobering moments for me was when I went with a friend to a court date and one of the prisoners had these crazy asian and tribal tattoos all over his face that made him look fucking terrifying. I always kind of thought the system and drugs and jail were joke kind of jokes but just looking at that dude totally threw my perception off. It was also trippy when my said he was in jail with him and that this guy was actually really cool but he made a decision that his life was going to be spent going in out of the court system so he made the choices to survive within it.
