Re: Republican Blogger says Obama is Democrat's Reagan [Re: Fahrenheit]

Don't underestimate how much a speech making president can move a country. I don't question for a second that he won't move us in the right direction. Please, no comparisons to Hitler. At the worst, he'll be ineffective, which is 100 times better than actively detrimental.

Give us a break guys. Sure, Obama can give a great speech. However, if giving a good speech is worth so much, how the hell did we get the tongue-tied illiterate bozo we have now?

Oh come on, you can't come up with your own explanation for that?

That Obama is considered a great "orator" has been a mystery to me.

Until now.

Since he is clearly NOT there must be something else to this.
Why are people so willing to lie to themselves in this regard?

How many of you are willing to admit the following is true about the public perception of Obama as a so-called orator:

Obama is black.

Obama is articulate.

Most blacks are not articulate.

Therefore Obama is a great speaker.

Think carefully before you answer.

"He ain't 'een got da party's nomination.."

I love how Bush instinctively lapses into Southern drawl and lingo as soon as the thought of a black man occupying his office comes up..he sounds just like Strom Thurmond right there.

This racist is way over his head.

Quote:
Obama asks for the people of Maryland not vote on along racial lines and then urges people to vote for Ford because of his race.

what is that?

next the Church that Obama attends is pro African, pro black and no whites welcome.

Alright dude, first of all, ease off your guns. A black senator urging people to vote for another black senator, whom he is possibly even friends with, does not make him a racist. The guy is black, he's a minority. Find me a black person that doesn't want to support his own race in America and I'll shake your hand.

Second, you can't judge a book by its cover. His church may be "pro-black" and may even not allow white followers. But not every person who calls themselves a Christian is against gay marriage, and not every Muslim believes women should cover their faces and always obey their husbands. The point is, its not as if Obama is going to get into office and force laws against whites. The man is looking out for the best interests of our country, and if he tries to support his black community, then what the hell is the big deal? Has he said anything that offended you as a white person? Are you fearing getting oppressed? Barack Obama is an intelligent, enlightened man, who has what it takes to fix, or at least try to fix, the mess the Bush administration made out of this country.

I agree, just because he supports a black candidate, or attends a pro-black church, doesn't mean that he is racist. I challenge most of you to name ten minorities, to your region, in your church or other social group. This is not a sign of racism, rather of a joint group with joint customs, and beliefs. The Democratic party doesn't allow Republicans in their party, that doesn't make us ego-centric or close minded, that makes us democrats.

Second, please don't compare Barack Obama to Hitler and Lenin. First off because i don't accuse Bush of being a Fascist, which Hitler was, and second because Lenin was the first leader of the USSR's communist party and did not support Stalin, and likely the direction that that country went, i challenge you to interpret the communist manifesto and tell me that it isn't ideally the best example of a social society.

Barack Obama is a great orator, and an inspiration to this country. On top of that he represents new direction, which i don't think any one can deny is much needed in American politics. More of the same will not solve any of our problems.

VOTE! Please vote, but even better VOTE OBAMA 08!
