storing casing soil

Can you store sterilized casing soil in a sealed bag in the fridge? Reason being, I didn't want to have to sterilize a new batch of casing soil to patch the casing layer after harvest. I am concerned about contams with just putting unsterilized verm in the patch areas.

NOTE: I have a mini fridge which I sterilize with lysol to help keep contams away.

The Raccoon makes big batchs of casing material, pasturizes, uses whats needed & stores the rest until needed in a tightly sealed -- clean plastic bag. Works fine. But would not advise storing over extended periods, as some nasties could develope in it over a long time. Casing material is resistant to contams, as it has little or no nutients. But, that doesnt mean something (mold spores & the like)could not contam it & flourish when you use the casing material on a substrate. SixTango

Do you think a week to 10 days is to long? I guess my better judgement tells me that I would rather make 10 batches of casing rather then chance losing even 1 mushy...Thanks.
