sterilization of casing soil?

Hi everyone, i'm just about to start casing my substrate and I was just wondering if the soil for the casing needs to be sterilized. If so how do I go about doing it?

Do it. Bake it for an hour at 200 degrees. Or you can steam it for two hours. (covered)

Should the soil be moist or can I just bake it without any moisture?
