Storing casings to STOP fruiting

Ive gotta go on holidays for two weeks and ive got casings that are just starting their second flush - if i wrapped these up in foil after picking them clean and chucked them in the fridge would they stop fruiting or fruit at a slower rate???

Yeah, but they really need to be in an airtight container.(to prevent contams)
