Whatup guys, I got a quick question that I couldn't find an answer to in the faq's and such. I innoculated 10 pf jars about 2 weeks ago and they still aren't fully colonized. On one of my jars there seems to be almost a gray slime on the inside of my jar. I'm not sure if I just have too much water in there or if it's actually contaminated and needs to be thrown away. There's also a little spot of orange showing up on the cake, it looks like my mycelium is eatin that stuff up though, is the cake still good? Also, I've read two different stories, in the PF tek it says to store the jars in an area away from direct sunlight but give them indirect light. Other posts I've read have people just storing their jars in a drawer somewhere away from all light. Which of these two is right? thanks, grandpy stink

during colonization keep your jars in complete darkness. while fruiting expose them to at least a few nanoseconds of light each day. good luck.
