i used spectrum adjusted lamps for years with amazing results...
at the end of the day its less hassle and less expense to use the same lamp during all stages...
when i first started i used to veg for a couple of weeks with the spectrum adjusted lamps, never had any problems...
but later i didnt really do a veg period, had fourescent lamps in the clone/seedling room and the adjusted hps in the flower room... just cloned and rooted with flourescent lights and straight into flower...
so id suggest that decent flouescent lamps are as good as metal halide for veg/seedlings/mothers...

actually when i think about it, i did have a hps in the veg room for my mothers along side the flourescents, as u can see in that last pic...
anyway my vote goes for adjusted hps, cos they are easy

Well buddy... There's actuley a bunch of HPS bulbs in the second and third pictures....... You can tell because of the light box design and the vents on them and the bright yellow/orangie light

Dude the floersant light does not have vents like I said. The ones that have the vents are clearly all HPS. The box with floresants is taller then the others has no vents and has bright white ass light.

it is kinda funny that you are telling the owner of the room what his lights are and clearly you can see the difference between the 2 light fixtures in the last pic.

And furthermore floresant lights do not create enough heat to have vents. Like no heat pretty much. Ànd the fixture in those HPS lightboxes won't fit floresant blubs. Any grower can look at the color of the light and tell you what is being used. Which goes to say... I don't think you grow weed.

any fixture can have vents regardless of the bulb. also flouros can be small ya ever hear of cfl??? and the color has nothing to do with it either they make flours of many more colors than they make of halide or hps.

Oh my Jesus Christ now that is just crazy talk. I didn't say anything about the floresant blubs size. Floresant blubs have no need for vents as they don't make heat. So vents would be a stupid design! Please fill your brain üp b4 you post stuff that can be provin wrong with 3 minuets of research

what??? maybe the vents create airflow with the heat from the flouros rising??? sure it may not be much but could be anough to get a little airflow around the plants. NOW prove me wrong. lol come to think of it theres vents in my Teklight T5 fixtue and also all of my shoplight fixtures.
