What would you do if you were 1.000 x richer than Bill Gates ever was?

At one time in his career Bill Gates owned a hundred billion dollars.
That is a lot of money :smile:

Now suppose that by some miracle you became a thousand times richer than Bill Gates ever was. Suppose you miraculously became so rich that you had a hundred trillion dollars.

$100.000.000.000.000

Thats an insane amount of money. You could make a hundred million people a millionaire with that kind of cash. You could buy a country. If you still have 60 years left to your life, you could spend $50.000 every second of every night and day for the rest of your life. It's enough to make your eyes water :smile:

Suppose you have that near unlimited amount of money at your disposal.. What would you do with it? The objective here is to find use for all of it.

What would you do?

Start a "Santa" charity. I don't know if there is anything like it out there, but I thought about it while I was high. Basically a large charity organization that gets letters written to Santa and gives the kids what they want for Christmas, provided they are decent children ( take into account the child's grades and home life via referrals from relatives, teachers ect.) There would also have to be a gift limit of like 300 or something, but if I had that kind of money I could get the thing off the ground easy.


I would also smoke a lot of weed all day and think of other crazy ways to enrich people's lives.

I'd use the money to make giant solar panel/microwave power stations in space to give people loads of energy that'd be pretty clean and pretty cheap.

Irrigation projects

Replacing cotton with hemp plants

Buying a fleet of submarines to destroy whaling boats

Buying and then scrapping the worlds millitaries.

Farming equipment for everybody

medicine for everybody

And a solid gold toilet.

What I would do, hmm.. I'd try to solve some of the major problems of the world. Things I'm thinking of right off the bat is helping the Third World develop itself out of the poverty abyss, I'd extensively fund certain energy alternatives research (such as deuterium fusion) to help ease the world away from the upcoming energy crisis and I'd extensively fund our first steps into space, and towards establishing a autonomous moon/mars colony.

Thats just some big ideas.

I'd make all positive people in my life financially independent by laying a big stack of gold bullion on each of them, and that aside some spending money.

As to the Shroomery, think a sizable donation or two and annual worldwide gatherings in Holland, all expenses paid stuff open to all members, to be flown in businessclass :smile:

A bit of decadence won't hurt no?

I would buy every single shopping cart from every single grocery store in the world, then use them to create a gigantic mosaic picture on the moon. It would depict Donkey Kong giving George Carlin a handjob.

I might pay off a portion of my country's debt (though all the taxes I'd be paying! :lol:), use as much money as possible to influence politics toward my ideals.  I'd also buy land in various places around the world, an island for the holidays, make sure all my properties were running off 100% clean energy, allow 185 x 185 pixel avatars on the Shroomery, extend greater generousity towards friends and family, contribute towards infrastructure and education development in poorer nations... and probably a few thousand other things.
