First feeling of OBE

Well, ever since i read the thread that was going on before about going out of body without the use of drugs, i started trying to practice it. Well after a couple weeks, and some doubtfulness about its truth. I finally started to get the "viberations" that people get when going into an OBE.
Well here's what happened, i was doing a session of meditation during the afternoon. Well i fishinsed that, and i just wanted to rest before i got up, so i laid down, and got very relaxed. I never was trying for a obe this time, didn't even have it in my mind. After i would say 5 mins or so, these strong viberations just kicked in, they just incompassed me, and kept going for around 15 secs or so. I was trying to stay calm however this was very strange to me, so i did panic a little but kept focus on everything that was happening, then for about 5-10 secs i could feel real light and felt slightly above my body, then i got heavy again, and returned.
However this was just amazing, too hard to explain everything and the feeling. Tried to explain to a few friends, but couldn't develop it into words, just amazing. Well since this happened, gives me some hope that iam getting somewhere, i just have to control it more thorugh more practice. But i'll keep you guys updated if anyone else to interested.
Btw anyone else have any obe experience? Thanks!

Thanks! iam going try hard!
Just a short time ago, i wanted to try and see if i could do it again. Well i didn't meditate this time, but my mind was pretty calm. I drifted more and more to a dream like state, but still being aware and not falling to sleep. I still didn't feel any viberations, however i did have very realistic short dream sequences. Pretty strange stuff, just random things, however the last dream, was of a group of family friend's and their children came into the room i was in, and started to hug me. I was still in my physical body, however things felt different, and i could hear and feel as if they were right there. I was like damn, do they have to be here to get me out of this obe. I had to take a few minutues before i realized it was not real, nor was it really a dream.
Ok just thinking of it makes everything seem werid! Well i would very much like to hear other's obe's experiences! So please share!

Ive had that before, like the dream state, but not really a dream state. ALthough i have had some disturbing experiences when ive gone there. Its kindof paralyzing too, really weird. As for OBE, ive always been kindof interested in trying it but Ive never really gone the extra steps to meditate and practice. Ive had experiences with them though, im pretty sure- although i dont know 100%
If anyone can help me out and point me off in a direction where i could start learning about this stuff id be greatful!

The strange thing about OBEs is that they seem nearly impossible when you first start trying to force em to happen, but once you're familiar with all the subtle things involved with em they really aren't that big of a deal. I suppose you can say it's kinda like learning how to swim: some people insist that 'jumping right in' is the best way to go because natural instincts will likely kick in, but just because you manage to stay afloat that doesn't nescesarily mean you're able to move through the water gracefully. (flailing your arms is hardly elegant) I think a lot of the trouble with out of body experiences isn't so much knowing what to do (I just move my arms and kick my feet right) but rather being familiar and comfortable with the process. Once you know what to expect and are able to allow things to 'run their course' so to speak, you'll find that you were really just making a big deal out of nothing. (and by that I'm referring to the process involved and not the actual experience itself)
On a side note: Anyone here have any experience with both OBEs and DXM? I find the two to be oddly similar. Granted, DXM is more harmful and more restricting (in the sense that unless you're taking huge doses you're still pretty much limited to exploring the physical realm from your own physical body) but it's also cheap, fast, and easy. Now I'm not promoting the use of DXM or anything, but I do think the similarities between the two might make DXM worth taking once or twice for the impatient amongst us...if for nothing else, at least to get a hint of what an out of body experience is all about in order to determine whether or not someone would want to pursue an authentic OBE. Just a little food for thought.
One final disclaimer: I just re-read my post and realized that I am actually 'promoting' DXM (at least to some extent) even though that wasn't my intention. So just to clear things up - I certainly don't think heavy or regular use of DXM is in any way a good idea or justifiable or whatever, but I do feel that one or possibly even two or three experiences with it (in lower doses and in controled environments and all that other nice shit) could actually be beneficial to one's learning experience.
I hope that's clear enough.

I have experienced it three times, first two were non intentional. My first time was weird because i was asleep (i think) and "woke" up (gained conscience) floating above my body, i didn't panic but i got woried, then i began to feel heavy and "felt" into my body again. What scared me was the "return", i could feel a loud buzz inside my head and my body was all impaired, when the process ended i opened my eyes and i could see everything again but from other perspective. The strangest thing hapened the next day, after i woke up i look my self at the mirror, my beard is brown on my chin, there was a circle right in the beard (i think that was the place i had my "line" of connection), the beard had turned pure white in that circle, it was the most strange experience i ever had.
