In about 15 minutes my roommates and I are going to be ingesting 1.1 grams of F+ strain Cubes with exactly 1oz Lemon Juice. we're going to let the shrooms soak for 10 minutes prior to ingestion, and then we're going to play music until we can't :grin:

I'll update later to let you all know how it went :smile:

Maybe i'm not contributing to this thread or not, but just figured I'd share.

My first mushroom trip ever, I did it the lemon way with a 500mg vitamin C tablet crushed up with it. My friend has been reading on here for quite some time and suggested it to me, and I figured, hell.. why not, right? Well with just 1.5 grams of cubensis(sp?) shrooms with 500mg vit. C and the lemon method, I had a level 3 trip (at least visually) based off of what I've read on here, but didn't really have the mind fuck of a level 3 trip. Basically, I was seeing alot of kaleidoscopic shapes in the dark and colors and things were bending/blending together

I tripped again eating the mushrooms regularly 2 days later with a straight 1.9 grams and didn't really feel all that much from it, which could possibly be because of a slight tolerance maybe? then 5 days later from that day, I ate 3.5 g's the regular way and that was amazing and blew both previous trips out of the water.

slight tolerance? mushrooms have a big tolerance. Wait 7 days before trips min, its unrecommended to trip once a month or less

Well, I have to say it was an amazing night.

I took the shots with 2 of my friends around 6pm last night.
After we played music for about 15 minutes (weren't really in the mood, too excited for the trip) both of my friends started saying they could feel it coming on, but it took me nearly half an hour for first alert.

By an hour in we were all tripping FACE although I wasn't having visuals yet, both my friends were. After we smoked a bowl that all changed, we sat in my lawn with some music and watched the beautiful (seriously, it was fuckin' gorgeous) sunset over the mountains, and the mushrooms made the clouds morph and change in some of the most beautiful patterns I've ever seen.

I can't believe this was from only a gram... I tripped my head off, felt like nearly 4-5 grams from my experience.

im prolly gonna try it with lemon this weekend , but id like to know if the increase in potency always mean a decrease in trip time

Yes it does. You only get so much trip per shroom, so decide whether you want duration or intensity if you think you want to try a lemon shot.

I knew there was a tolerance, but had been told different things.. whether it was to wait a couple of days, or a week, or even two weeks; but thanks for the information.

I like to add a dose to an ounce or so of fresh squeezed lemon juice with pulp, then add that to a greater volume of watermelon/strawberry juice. Effects come on really quick and can be quite visual. I took this cocktail with me to the Body Worlds exhibit in houston.

Hey I've never done shrooms before, but one thing I'm curious about is do you have to blend it into a drink? For example, if I wanna eat 1.5g raw, I'm thinking about just sqeezing some lemon juice onto the dried shroom, letting it sink in for a minute, and then take it.

Or does it HAVE to be in a "liquid" form?

ok, ive done this abou 2 imes now , it has worked wonderfully  both times very visual and agressive ,  each time ive prepared the cocktail i has been with dried  shrooms , now id like o ask if anyone has done i wih fresh shrooms ? i was thinking about chopping hem up fine and ( abou 10-15 g  fresh) and leaving them  o simmer in a glass of lemon juice for abou an hour or 2 inside he fridge
i pretty much waned to know if he way of making i would be the same wih fresh or dried:crazy2:

Well, if you've never tripped before I would suggest either just eating them, or doing the lemon trip the normal way, after that you can experiment so you know if it's different :smile:

i tried the lemon juice shot thing two days ago. ive tripped several times from a cold-water extraction using vitamin c and passionflower, and drinking shrooms is my favorite way to trip. i took 1.8, ground them up and put them in a coffee filter tied off with hemp string. i stirred them around for about 45 minutes, squeezed all of the liquid from the filter into the glass, and took the drink in two gulps. my experience was about equivalent to the other times ive done the same thing sans lemon juice. i have noticed without vitamin c the drink doesnt really work, but i dont think my vitamin c tabs are acidic, but thats just my speculation. i wouldnt say this makes me trip harder than eating them, but it is a different experience (more enjoyable to me) of about equal potency depending on how efficiently you digest.

i think folks ruled out the acidity as being the cause of the lemon juice (and orange and cranberry) potency increase, just cause the acid it gets dissolved in in your stomach is so much more acidic anyway, sitting in citric acid for a while shouldnt effect it as much as regular digestive HCl would when it enters your tummy

This past Sat. night:
Hus made tea from 9 grams dry Pan Subbs found wild on Thurs. and Fri.
Neither of us had an empty stomach but neither of us had eaten a large meal since a late lunch. Pann Subbs are "mild" compared to Amazons and the like. No visuals for me on this trip but it was SO beautiful and I felt so bonded with my hus that it was the BEST trip ever for me no question and I told him so!

He's 5'7" and weighs about 165 lbs.

I'm 5'5" and weigh 128 lbs.

We had pannies for the 1st time this past summer and only I tried the tea with lemon. He trips harder than I do in general.
This time we both had it with bottled lemon juice, about an once each...oooh quite sour but so worth it!

We drank the tea, not as a shot but over a minute or two. It took about 1/2 hr. (1/2 the time as w/o lemon I think) to feel the beginnings. The "Hey, something is happening" feeling.

I waited to feel more b/f enhancing with weed so I could see what they trip felt like w/o it. I was pleased and humourous and focused and it was just really nice. Hus felt anxiety that not even a kiss and back rub would eliminate as any other anxiety would be. He said it was a process he just had to go through and get past.

I felt no anxiety and neither of us felt nausea.

Then I enhanced with weed which inspired him to do the same.

I kissed him and wanted to grab the opportunity to get cozy b/f he was too up on a mind high but too late. This was 1/2 hour later when we'd normally only just be coming up.

He had more than I did and apologized but he had to play his guitar and I understood. It was awesome playing that inspired him to record.

The original recording which was even more flowing under the influence, can be heard by going to my journal post about my husband's music. There is a kaleidoscope site posted there as well that coordinates perfectly with it though it wasn't planned. Too cool! Veggie posted the "scope" and I put it with the music and voila!

Anyway, We'd started at about 10:30pm  and I brought my trip back up at about 3:30am while hus was still flying fine. I was on a body high and tried to get him interested in engaging physically again but no go. I understood and took a rain check. Rain brought the pannies and the rain check "panned" out for the next (last) night. lol

I'd been in the room quiet as a mouse during the recording. I told him afterward that when he got 3/4 the way though and started again I found it frustrating and asked him to just keep going (and not be such a perfectionist I was thinking) and he did and it was wonderful!

I smoked more and then showered...a looong one, which is one of my favorite indulgences under the influence of weed or on the way down from a trip. When I was done hus was so relaxed that he just wanted to float away and allowed me to take the MP3 to listen to.

When I left the room to allow him to rest, I stayed up puttering around the kitchen and outside in the yard and inside making incentive charts for my children listening to the guitar recording on the MP3 the whole time till about 5:30am.

I also heard some other stuff we have on the player like Truck'in and St. Stephen from the Hollywood Palladium '72. I was able to think thoughts till the jams during which I had to lean against the kitchen counter during the flying up up up feeling they bring.

Then I finally hit the sack. If it weren't for the 15 mgs of adderall (mine) I took the next day (usually I take 10 daily) I wouldn't have been able to get a whole lot done the next day done but with that and some coffee and an early eve. nap, I did get a lot done...with a sweet knowing smile on my face. :smile:

So, that's that. N-joy your acidic substances w/mushrooms whenever you get a chance to I'd say.

so what is the general concensus with this? i searched and did as much research as i could but i havent really found a definitive answer.

My person experience, 2grams lemon juice is a much more visual experience than 2 grams in tea. The Lemon juice as far as i can tell did kick up the experience a notch. However for me 2grams in lemon was still a mild trip.

:thumbup: Yeah... from two personal trials, & from hearing the testimony of several friends, I will say it definitely enhances & intensifies the psychedelic experience.
