Could someone make a list of common acronyms used in this section of the forum. All the FC, LC, TiT, FC, stuff has my head spinning when im trying to read a post.

Don't use acronyms please. The main purpose of this forum is to help the new folks get started. Old timers don't need it and they're the ones who know the acronyms. They only confuse the new people who don't have a clue what they are. It doesn't take long to type out the whole term. Many are obvious, such as FC and G2G, but the rest are not, especially for those who need the information.

No they shouldn't this isn't a highschool note being passed around, spell the words, practice your spelling and typing. When i read a post i want to be able to read it and not have to keep going back and forth to look at an acronym key somewhere else to see what the hell is being said.

But that's the problem. Everyone is using acronyms here and
when I first started in this hobby I spent more time looking up
acronyms than anything else. If anyone here is in technology
and I am sure there are, you can appreciate acronyms. There
are acronyms for pretty much any hobby and any job.

Unless everyone stops using acronyms there is going to be
a disconnect.

Maybe the acronym glossary needs to be managed by an old hand or
can be WIKI styled.

That would be nice. In advanced mycology, use them all you want. This forum is more for new growers, so they hurt much more than they help. Simply type coherent sentences please and leave the abbreviations out.

its benificial to the new people to be able to read and understand what they are reading then to have to keep going back and forth to find a definition of an acronym. thats how this whole post got started, a new person was confused about what they were reading, and no one is saying you CANNOT use them, its just a courteous thing to do for those people that don't know them.
